Default I got pulled over by a lying cop!

Here is my long story

I dropped my friend off after work late last night, and was on my way home when I see a cop stopped at a red light to the left of me. I think no big deal, down shift to 3 going 30 MPH and make my turn. 1/2 mile down the road, all I see are his light. I pull over to the side and he has his spot light on me telling me to put my hands in the air. I'm thinking WTF!

He pulls me out the car and says I made the turn going 70 MPH!!!!! remember this is on the streets!! and I'm in my Tc, not a damn race car haha. I tell him its impossible to make that turn going 70 in my car, my tires didn't even screech!

He hand me put my hands behind my back me sat me down on the curb and proceeded to ask me 4 times if I have ever been arrested and every time I answered "No" the rookie with him told me to "calm down" never lifting his hand off his holster. Seriously felt like a scene on Super Troopers.

He took my wallet and proceed to dig though it, and found a stack of officers business cards (family and friends that are cops), finding out after that I have plans to become a cop in the very near future. All the while still being a huge dick yelling at me for Speeding!! Which i didn't even do

All I could think was "You lying sack of crap..."

He comes out of his car 10 minutes later and yells "Im going to let you off this one time, slow down and take off your tint"

I feel bad for the next guy he pulls over

You know if you were clocked while turning, it is theoretically possible to register a much higher speed than you were actually going ... lol. Angular momentum I think. I dunno, my physics teacher explained how he got clocked rounding a corner and how he got out of it by explaining how a radar detector could register the wrong speed while turning hahaha. That sucks though. Oh man super troopers, good times. And I dunno about you, but my spoiler totally makes it possible to keep my tires from screeching while going around a corner at 70!

PS, glad you didn't get any tickets!

i also majored in physics in college. But what your teacher says is true. radar detector are most accurate when the officer is directly behind or in front of you. the greater the angle off is, the greater the error registered by the radar gun.

so depending on when the officer clocked the car going around the corner. the extreme angle could have thrown off the detected speed by far.

He didn't get a radar on me, he just said he saw me "flying around that turn"

He said he had to do 90 just to catch up to me. This guy was a real piece of work as you can tell lol

dont even get me started on cops being douches.... back in the late 80's/ early 90's Davie cops harassed me to no end (I was DWB). back then I was driving a 1972 Dodge Dart.

One time I was pulled over while doing 35 in a 45, right before turning into a night club parking lot coming from another bar about a mile away. the dialogue went something like this:

cop (shining bright ___ light in my face) 'why are you going so slow?

me 'no reason to go fast sir'

cop 'where you going?'

me 'Mr. Laff's (points at club I was about to turn into... literally right next to us)'

cop thinks <crap>

cop 'where you coming from?'

me 'Gary's Sports Bar (right down the street... back then the 2 clubs had ring girl/bikini contests back to back, and I used to hang with several of the girls... being a photographer has it's benefits ^^)

cop thinks <____>

cop 'move along'

lol I actually heard of an incident down here where a guy was charged for resisting arrest simply because he was a bodybuilder - his arms were so huge that he literally was unable to get his wrists behind his back far enough for the cuffs to reach.
