I'm traveling down the dreaded 605 the other day and out of the corner of my eye I see a projectile headed my way. It was near Irwindale. (for those of you not familiar with Irwindale it is a town of very few people and one immense gravel pit. There is an endless stream of gravel trucks running by there all hours.) Anyway I pull my head but hold the car straight and WHAM something hits my box. When I get to work I look at the hood, roof, and windshield and see no giant dent. Well today I am getting gas for $3.03 a gallon and decide to clean the windshield. When I lift the driver side wiper I see the damage. The glass is pulverized and the plastic edge is gouged as well. There are some slight cracks starting to show also. Finally---I have been had by the rock fairy..........
I finally replaced my windsheild last week. It was looking like the moon and my glass repair bud had been repairing it for me but it finally got too bad so I got a new windsheild installed at Safelite for 250 bucks. It only took an hour I recommend them.
