im in diamond bar/brea/pomona/walnut.. wherever you want to meet, but it would have to be somewhere seclududed.
also, you better watch out, ive been workin on my launches haha.
also, referring to the new civic Si, a tC can take it from the getgo up to about 40-50mph, after that they start to pull on us and then kick the shiot out of us, anyone who disagrees, post a vid and thats the only way i will believe, even then i will still question the integrity of it.
either way, if you want to race, let me know.

ya, Si 06-07 can fly by after that speed........hence V-tec baby, lol. Vtt-i is only good for a couple of rpms. V-tec, however, lasts a long time.
Scion owner, but a honda lover

< Joe.
The silver "JDM" tC that had a bBist.com decal only on one side of the car.
I was at the Tustin meet when it rained before the meet and when the cop rolled a car and kept him there for like half an hour.. AND who could forget the CART + downhill slope vs CAR??

562 here (pico rivera). . . I could do it sometime next week. But you'd have to come up here. I'm too lazy and too tired after work to deal with the 5. . .

the new si only have 140 some torque as opposed to us tcs who are stok wit 160 so we have the advantage on them and plus were not far behind on hp and im not saying i beat them all i jus raced a few and i smashed on them so all im going on is what ive done so far and ive only had my car a few months

You guys are silly making such a big deal about torque. HP is a function of torque. Torque is a momentary measurement; hp is a measurement over time. . . which is why it is used to judge acceleration.
Torque is like the amount of weight a body builder can lift. HP would be the amount of time it takes to move it.
We're not towing boats people, we are accelerating cars.
Now if you want to compare powerbands, then you might have a valid claim. Race cars (like F1) don't make squat for torque, but they make tons of HP at high RPM's (high HP is usually created at high RPM's). Gears are those nifty little things that turn that HP into practical power. You can pretty much created as much torque as you wanted with the proper gear set and enough HP. That's why you can undo a tough bolt with a longer wrench (you use a lever arm, or gear, to utilize HP (work over time/distance) to create torque).
Don't get me wrong, torque is good. But you guys seem like the tC's good torque numbers make it the fastest car in the world. Especially considering our low revving engines, I' gladly take a 30hp bump over a 30ft/lb bump.
Also note, there is a REASON why gears are supposed to shift shortly after peak HP (to maximize the peak HP band) than the peak torque band.
