I'm selling my car.....
Hi everyone! God I havnet been on here in FOREVER! I'm selling my car
. As much as it saddens me it is a means to a big [positive] change in my life. Im turning 18 in 2 months and I am seeing many new expences; College included. I would like to keep any loans I have to get down to a minimum.
Anyone intrested: This car is coming with a ton of after market mods as well as so many great memories! Not to mention all of the blood, sweat and tears my Dad, Evil Dave, Stylis and many other very close friends have put into the Pheonix.
If anyone knows who would be intrested in getting my kick ___ car let me know!

Yea! Buy the car and you can have the hood and the headlights. [lol]
No really thoe, to many people but so much work into it to part it out. Im sorry; I just wouldnt feel right. It's hard enough parting with her, let alone making her a chop shop. :-(

This is great car. Shelby is making a tough decision but for all the right reasons. This would be a great buy for someone wanting a jump start into a modded Scion. Ready for them to add their own personal touches and evolve.
Okay we are going to have a little myspace conversation Shelby. NO........ Well you need to finish up school and take care of new adult stuff coming up. Good luck on the sale and you still got your mom's xD. hahaha
Hey good luck with the sale. it was nice to meet you the couple of times I did. I think you are going the hard route however in selling the car. I mean so many people like modding there own style or not modding at all.
Kind of frustrating but it seems to be a way it is. Anyways I hope some one picks it up quick! What are you planing on getting after? You are gonna really miss the MPG while trying to save $$ at school.

Not to steer you wrong, but student loans have a much lower interest rate than anything else, longer repayment terms, and easier access. Honestly, if I were in your shoes and could continue to make payments on the xB, I'd keep it. The $15k in student loans are not hard to pay back after school (assuming you're in a major that has easy employment), and once the xB's paid for you'll have it for a LONG time if you choose, people are getting 200k+ miles out of them.
Of course, if you won't be able to work while in school and won't be able to keep up payments, it would be best to sell. If you're looking for a major, I'd suggest a science, engineering or medical field. All three have manpower shortages, and as a female you may even be able to a leg up as companies seek to diversify their workforce since these fields have been predominately male. Just avoid automotive engineering, it's not a good time to find a job in Detroit.

Thanks for the support guys. But there are alot of things coming into play right now. Not just school im starting school, moving out the week i turn 18 [possibly to Georgia]. I love my car but, lets be honest its not exactly your "daily driver" and i want a car that i can park ina parking lot while im in the store and not be breaking a sweat while im looking for what bread i need. I just want a car maybe some rims and a system but nothing flashy.

Im going to have to dissagree that student loans are not easy to get these days and many instituations are stopping programs that give student loans due to the economic times....But your other advice is good
