Thumbs down The Judicial Sys. Screwed me.....I think!

I basically got Judicially Screwed!..(I think)

Had my Court Date for my Loud Exhaust ticket…..Went to State Ref got certificates saying everything was “fixed” up to State Code.

Went to court this morning….Got my turn up to the judge and said good thing you have these papers it lowered the Fine a bit…

So for Each thing the total came out to $360!!!

No dismissals ….Is that right??.....I was really dumb founded, Isnt that why I got sent to the State Ref in the first place???

I think I got screwed??....or no?

Grrrrrr……Anyone that has been through this....Shed some light?...How much was your fine?....etc...

Thanks!

Here's the breakdown:

For my intake it was $175

Exhaust was $150

$35 fee for doing MOnthly payments.

ALL corrected at a State Ref with documentation!

You should check with the ref and see what they say or check with a lawyer. I really doubt anyone here is going to know 100% and you'll just get assumptions or system haters.

because the court needs all they can steal from you in cali. since the budget cuts, we recieved inside at work on petty citations california is pushing. "1" mile over the speed limit runs over $245, pass a stopped school bus over $600, park in handicap 2nd time $1800 plus, text or cell $145, and the list goes on.

We dont' have any of that stuff here in Arizona. The worst that the cops nail ya for out here is tint.

I really feel bad for you guys out there, the man sticks it to you and breaks it off, smiles and says "next" all in a feeble attempt to cure the budget shortfalls.

True. It's amazing all the fees that get added onto a small fine. Thank goodness I'm an old dude. Been pulled over four times in the Box, every one of the officers asked me if it was my son's car. All four of them let me go after they got a little tour of the ride. I guess there are a few advantages to being old.

Pls the youngster cops dont remember you terrorizing the streets of HB back in the day because they weren't born yet. LOL. Plus Taz, your car doesnt scream come race me or FNF themed. Shoot you have a surf board on top of your car. LOL.

On a side note, Greg you have to contact the county clerk at the court house and deal with it that way. PD has no jurisdiction on your fee.

True, don't look like a racer but here in Surf City the PoPo's pulled me over for clear tail lights, dual exhaust, tinted windows and the tunes a little too loud. Can't imagine what it would be like driving a tC in this town.
