NASA and the California Rally Series are putting on the Gorman Ridge Rally on August 29. This is basically at the top of the Grapevine several miles off the freeway. Anyone interested in spectating the rally website has directions.

If you don't already have a car prepared to rally spec it's almost certainly too late to make it, but you can enter at the event. I think that a turbo tC would make a pretty good Group 5 car (unlimited 2WD). Anyone interested in rally for the future:
