A couple friends and I are going to move to San Diego this summer and do our summer internships at a few golf courses. I am wondering if anyone has any good ideas on where we should look to live or even which golf courses around San Diego would be great employment opportunities.

We are already looking at a few different places in Poway, Pacific Beach, and Oceanside. Are these good places to live? We don't want a place right next to the beach because of price(unless we find something really cheap), but we are kinda looking for a place that is in a good area for three 21-22 year old guys. Close to good food, bars, easy access to highways and interstates, and not too far of a drive from the beach.

Also, anyone know of a good rental company that does short-term leasing? I have been hitting up craigslist but it may be too early.

Can't wait for this summer! Gonna hit up the beach and some Scion shows!

Scion Invasion is up in the air right now pending the whole economy situation. The owner/bossman is doing some pretty serious cut-backs right now. We will all just have to wait and see...

Definitely hit up Torrey Pines. I'm sure you already know about that place though. My friend used to work there and he loved it. He also worked at Riverwalk before he got the job at Torrey.

I have family in Poway and it's nice there. Quiet and calm. It's just kind of too inland for me. PB would be great, especially for guys your age. Lots of bars and stuff around there. O-Side is north SD, so it may be a drive if you want to go out to downtown or something. I would recommend somewhere central.

I live in Clairemont. All the main freeways are about 5 minutes from my house. It takes about 15 to get to just about anywhere from here - Downtown, the beaches, etc.

What do you mean by rental companies? What are you looking to rent?

 

Just an apartment or condo that needs someone to temporarily lease. Maybe even a house that someone can't sell...we could move in there to lessen the loss from not selling it by renting it over the 3 month period. Just looking to see what we could do or if anyone could help us...
