Mt High Scion Day: Yet to be announced
Was just browsing through the Mt. High Resort forums and came across a post from the marketing director of the resort stating "we will have at least one of those days here this season". Mt. High sucks butt, but it's a free day of riding for scion owners, friends/family. If they have a car show, good luck getting up the hill and keeping your car somewhat clean.
Here's the link....Hopefully it'll come together

YO! thats music to my ears... =0)
before I was even interested in getting a Scion, I went either last year or the year prior with my homie (ex-tC driver) and yeah, I saw some practically snowscoop xB's. =0)

Wanted to let you all know that while nothing is ruled out at this time, the contact at Mt. High sort of jumped the gun. We have NOTHING planned for Mt. High at this time. That said, there's no guarantee this won't happen....but there's no guarantee that it will either. Stay tuned......
Hey, just a suggestion, but could it be coordinated somehow to get a bus to the ski lodge?? Scions and snow just dont mix well in SoCal. Otherwise I might have made it out the past times...

I'm not sure I'm understanding the logic of needing a shuttle bus. Like others have said, it defeats having a Scion Day if the brand isn't being represented at the resort. The drive up to mt. high is the most mellow drive ever. The chances of there being snow on the road are slim and none, even if it dumps calTrans usually takes care of the roads right away.

would u need chains cuz im scared of spinning out in the parking lot or up the hill. i know in big bear sometimes the parking lot is icy. i dont have roof racks either so i have to figure out a way to get like 3 boards in my car
it all depends on teh weather. You might need 'em, or you might not. Here in so cal you only really need chains a few times a year on average if you don't live on the mountain. i drive up to bear about 3 times a week during snow season, and usually use chains 2-3 times a year. like beedee said, the road to mt high is super mellow, and cal trans clears it quick. I'd be more scared of L.A. driver's who can't drive in snow worth crap.
One thing to remember, the drive to Wrightwood (where Mt. High is) is MUCH easier than the drive to Big Bear.
Another thing to remember, unless the scion event day happens on a day that it's snowing (or a day or two after a big storm) chances are most of the roads will be clear of all snow. I would not worry to much.
