Default My first trip to the dealer

Hello everyone this is my first post. I want to start off by saying I have been doing alot of reading and find this site great for info. I do not own an Xb yet , my car was totaled and I am in the process of getting money for that . I live in Temecula so that gives you an idea of what dealership I went to , and sort of had an argument with the manager reason being I first asked if I would be able to order a PW Xb with no options to which he replied there is "no such thing you can't order a scion" you just have to check incoming stock and all my cars will have fog lights and floor mats.

One question I have since I told him everything I read on the forum says you can order a car. Is that correct or am I reading it wrong in other posts? We also were arguing about stuff like the extras (floor mats, fog lights ect.) I said they could be purchased for a better price for which he replied no way and if I did get any items they would be either used or knock off's. Again I was of the assumption that OEM could be purchased at a better price at certain site's

So was I just at the wrong dealership? Or am I crazy? Thanks for any advice!

oh boy here we go again... yeah its the dealership trying to @#$ over was he the "manager" or did he just tell you he was? My suggestion is to go under reviews and dealers and let them know how you feel. or contac scion if you want to take it a step futher its all up to you.

yeah you CAN order a scion.. its takes a while for them to get it though, how soon do I need a car should be asking yourself. If you can wait find a dealership out there in Temecula that can do that for you :D

about the floor mats and fog lights your also right on that, there's alot of places where you can find them cheap and NOT used (Floor mats)

Well.. Good luck and welcome to the forums :D

BAD DEALER! Don't listen to that azz clown. You CAN order a car, and you CAN get OEM parts elsewhere at a better price.

He wants to make $350 by forcing foglights on you, when you can get them from places like www.TRDSparks.com for around $200 and install them yourself.

Do yourself a favor and go order from another dealer. Don't waste any more time with them.

yep yep, things are much easier if you get them from places other than the dealer. dealers will try and protect themselves by justifying the prices as part of Scion's pure price. The thing is, they know they cant jack up prices so they throw on things immediately after they recieve the car from the trailer. Dont let them convince you that you cant order a Scion, raise hell and ask to speak to the real manager. After all it's a car dealer, they want your money and will play dirty even if Scion's policy is not to. Contact Scion corp, they'll whoop their azzes into shape and maybe you might get some goodies outta it? and now that I think about it, Rich Manas at Kearny Mesa Scion is a great guy, he'll hook you up.
