my 2008 scion xb was broken into today while i was at school at UCR. If you know UCR, I was parked in lot 30. They took my AVIC-D3 and my ipod that was in the glove compartment.

 

dam that sux man. i know it won't help u get it back but did u happen to put a password on it. atleast they won't be able to use it if u did. hopefully ucr police will keep a watchful eye out in the parking lots

 

damn i was there few days ago... they charged my friends debit card 160 dollars on the parking thing.. and he cant even do anything about it.. the bank wont refund it.. its like WTF?!

but wow.. do u dorm at UCR cause i notice ur from db... this is why i dont wanna dorm at UNLV when im moving there in 2 months... campus parkinglots are a bizznitch especially when ur dorm is far away from where ur car is parked...

There has been many reports of thief in the area. I know about two weeks ago, an xB in IV(international village) got his wheels stolen. My security friend told me so. Now with this, im more paranoid about my car/the area in and around ucr =/

 

eh dang sorry for your lost bro but next time you should get a dog and let it chill in your car..wait never mind the thief probably would steal the dog too. back to the drawing board

If you look at crutchfield, you might find a pretty decent price avic d3. Other than that you should probably pick up a Compustar or Viper alarm. If anything ask the security guards if they have video taping of any break in. My school has cameras all over the parking lots on every floor and outside so its probably a standard for most schools.
