Default New to the forum-new to scion-upgrades

Hey guys, Im new to the scion world and upgrade world for that matter.
I just brought the new 2010 Scion rstc 6.0 but commited a crime in buying the automatic because my wife uses it and wont drive stick!! I don't no much about cars and tuning etc but from what ive read i can't do as much to my scions performance because its not manual.
So basically i want to know where to start on upgrades and tuning or whatever else i can do to make it faster and more powerful. If someone could write me out a check list of sorts, like exhaust system first (or whatever is best to start with) I'd be very grateful.

I have looked into a few things but im abit lost and i dont just want to go and get taken for a ride at a garage.

Turbo, exhaust system, cold air intake, what else can i do, Id love to get flappy paddle gear change on it if thats even possibly..? just changing bits over the next year or so etc..Maybe put some carbon fiber gear on to lighten it up as ive heard scions are heavy? I also read that i can not go passed like 250bhp with stock parts so what will i have to change?

Sorry guys i am a complete novice!! If anyone can sort me out with a checklist and all my possibilities that i can upgrade. starting from the basic to the more extreme like turbo kits etc

Please explain like your speaking to a retard as i have no idea. thanks guys.

welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy it as well as the car. now to begin with the easy part on the turbo some have made it to 260whp but with the tranny slipping and as for putting a carbon gear or paddle shifters it will not be possible or if it is then it sure wouldn't be worth the money. so the tranny taking a dump on your at around 250 boosted it would honestly be pointless to built the motor, as for performance you either save for boost/turbo since the S/C isn't sold anymore and it is also weak and slow. or you can go ahead and spend on n/a performance parts+tune and try to get 180 if not more if your lucky. i have an auto and have pretty much done every bolt-on and raced it a few times at irwindale speedway and walked over the manuals with bolt ons as well but after a good 4 runs the tranny heats up way too much that it starts to give up. here's the list of what i had when i used to run 9.7/8's at the 1/8th mile at irwindale
fujita cold air intake
dc sport headers
megan s-pipe/midpipe and drift spec exhaust
HOB crank pulley and throttle body spacer
NST water-pump & alternator pulleys
DME engine torque damper
Energy Suspensions motor mounts
B&M super tranny cooler
and i think that's about it, wish i would of tuned it but never got around to that.
to be honest i wish i could of had gotten a manual because my power range was 3500+rpms and the auto shifts between 2300-3000rpms unless you floor it which doesn't seem great to be doing as well as the tranny shifting which will damage it in the long run.
