Default No Car Washes Guys...

Has anyone seen those messages on the freeway saying
"Orange County Water Shortage Emergency: Conserver Water"

http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister...le_1633377.php

My car is super dirty because of the crazy ___ winds we've been having.. I was planning to wash it today but I feel bad if I do.. Is anyone else holding off washing their cars?? Or should I just stop showering so I can wash my baby??

WTH!!!!!!!!............water shortage.............what the hell is the corrupted California doing this time???? They were giving electric power to other states and what happen, blackouts and the whole Edison drama begun.................California better not be giving water to any surrounding state......................F that, I'm washing the car today, 2morrow, and the rest of the week.................my geology teacher told the class that we have enough water for 100 years.............groundwater to be exact and that is located in the Mid-west................so what is California gov't up to..........better not be another "edison" drama.

Is this only the OC or everywhere else????? Why don't we just use salty beach water.........there is a *hit load of that...........I'm willing to pay more for water that comes from the beach just cuz there is going to be no worry of a shortage.

They're talking about some filtration plant in Yorba Linda that was being improved or something.. But if they knew that this was going to happen they should've planned something to prevent this? Or are they going do this now ask later.. Anyways.. I really want to wash my car.. I wonder if I should just bring it to one of those automated car washes?

Actually it sounds alot more serious than it is. The filtration plant in Yorba Linda where OC gets the majority of its water is undergoing some replacement on the main piping system. Its supposed to be back up by this weekend. Once its back online, the so called "shortage" is over.

I have to agree on the car cover............I have one and its great...............but the only bad part is that when its windy, the cover slaps around and when I go to take it off, I get nice scratches...........but it goes away with a wash, so no big deal.

Hang on OC..............water will come back

America = Land of the free and Oportunistic Businessmen...

I went to get a car wash today.. and they raised the prices on me!!! The regular car wash which was for 7.99 before went up to 12.99 and the silver wash which includes tire shine, armor all wipes and free scent went up from 12.99 to 15.99.....

But.. I really needed one.. I can't stand the dirt anymore..

Atleast they did a great job... the line was super long though.. it wrapped around the gas station.. everyone wanted a car wash.. which made me wonder.. is going to a car wash really helping the cause for water shortage in the OC? Or did I just become a victim of car wash places trying to make and extra buck?? sigh... oh well.. atleast i'm not annoyed drivin' my baby..

I'm gonna go next week to a place on Orangethorpe, east of the 57 about 2-3 miles, a DIY car wash, to at least hose her off, If I don't get my dirty girl wet soon, i might go
