OFFICIAL Longo Scion Triathlon Thread April 30th Irwindale
SPL Competition by Crosfire Car Audio.
Whose Scion is the loudest? Prove it at Longo Scion’s 2nd Triathalon!
Limited to 30 cars so don’t be late!
How it works.
Crossfire will provide the CD for testing. Each competitor will have 3 runs.
1st run determines what your car’s frequency sweet spot is. The frequency CD provided will sweep a range of hertz to determine what the optimum frequency of your vehicle is. You will use this frequency for the 2nd and 3rd run.
2nd and 3rd run is where the competition begins. You will be given 30 seconds per run to achieve the highest decibel with the frequency given in the 1st run. The higher of the 2 runs stands.
The winner is determined by who has the highest decibel rating of all the cars. In the event of a tie, the higher of the 2nd run will determine the winner. The highest 3 will receive a prize.
Precautions:Participating in this competition CAN cause damage to your audio equipment. In addition, ear protection should be worn and must be provided by the participants.
Suggestions:
Unplug the signal cables that run the mids and highs amplifier. Lower the treble on your radio. Keep your windows rolled up to increase sound pressure in vehicle. Keep the vehicle running during competition to increase voltage.
Equipment:
We will be using the TermLab meter. This meter is widely used in SPL competitions all over the world.
Good Luck!!!!

and the satellite only works with the stock head unit. i got it last year at one of their events. can i switch it out for a new one so i can get 9 more months free? my 9 months is just about up. lol
this is sweet so the only thing i have to do to get the satelite is get a coupon from the booth and then bring my car back to longo to get installed?
also is this even free for everyone or is there an entrance fee? and is this the list to signup to show etc?
also how early should we get there and how early can we roll in?

Not 100% sure, but I thing the gates open around 9ish...just be early, there will a big crowd anticipated.
And don't forget about the grudge match racing, you can pick anyone from the crowd and go heads up with them...should be fun. See you allthere and drive safe.
