Default Oh great, another crazy Scion owner

Did anyone catch this? I just saw it on the Channel 7 news today. The car involved was a Scion tC RS2.

Man allegedly run down and killed after fight at SoCal party

(RESEDA, CA) A motorist accused of running down and killing a man with whom he had allegedly gotten into a fight at a party in the San Fernando Valley has been taken into custody.

Los Angeles police say the victim was killed early Sunday outside the party in Reseda.

The suspect allegedly got into his vehicle after the fight and started racing up and down the street. When he saw the person with whom he had fought, he ran the man down.

Police say the victim was declared dead at a hospital.

The suspect later crashed the vehicle he was driving and was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.

I can't find anymore text information at this time. Sunday is always a slow news day. However, I saw the footage on ABC7. They showed the aftermath, which was basically a tC RS2 lodged in the side of a house with the doors open and the airbags deployed.

Reseda -- A driver who fatally ran over someone and injured two other people in Reseda was in custody today, authorities said.

The death near Hart Street and Delco Avenue occurred about 1 a.m., said Los Angeles police Sgt. Jim Setzer of the West Valley Station.

The suspect, whose name police withheld, allegedly got into his vehicle after a fight at a party and started racing up and down the street, Setzer said.

When the driver saw the person with whom he had fought, he fatally ran him down and struck two other people, he said.

The victim, whose name was not immediately available, was declared dead at a hospital, Setzer said.

The two other injured people were taken to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center.

The suspect driver later crashed the vehicle he was driving and was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, Setzer said.

A passenger in his car also was detained for questioning.

Well I got the following info from CBS. Sounds like the crazy guy was not the owner of the car, and in fact he ran over the real owner. The dead guy was the owner of the RS2.

...

2 Hurt, 1 Dead After Reseda Party Fight
LOS ANGELES A man who allegedly ran over another man he had fought with Sunday in Reseda, killing him and injuring two others, was in custody on suspicion of murder, police said.

Maziar Tehrani, 29, of Encino, was killed in the 7000 block of Delco Avenue, near Hart Street, around 1 a.m., said Officer Jason Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Section.

Marquis Dejon Jiles, 25, of Northridge, got into Tehrani's vehicle after a fight with the victim and two other people at a party, Lee said.

Jiles allegedly ran over Tehrani with the car and hit a 34-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman with whom he'd also argued, Lee said.

Tehrani was declared dead at a hospital. The other two victims were treated for minor injuries.

Jiles was booked on suspicion of murder and was being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

wtf he stole his car and killed him with it. seriously if the person who got killed was smart enough he would of just walked away and gone home cause things like this can't be changed for him nor for his family who are the ones suffering the most at the moment.

this happened in Winnetka on Hart and i forgot the name of the other street. the actual owner of this car was a girl and well the guy had just tooken the keys and decided to go for a joy ride once they told him to leave the party since he was causing trouble, as he was going around the block when he saw the guy he had been arguing with and some other people who asked them to leave. so he jumped the curve and kill the guy and injuried 2 other people and crashed the car of course, ran to the nieghbors house saying that he had been shot and was in need of help but come on, everyone there witnessed it at the party..that guy is a straight in his head and is getting idk how long of jail time and a $1million bail which i don't think someone would actually have to the money to bail out an idiot after what he did.

Delco.

There are a bunch of different stories on the different channels. I saw this on 2, 7, and 11 today, and they all said something different. It was a girl's car, it was the guy's own car, it was the dead victim's car, I dunno. The media sucks at getting the facts straight.
