RED BULL Drifting World Championships Highlights

If this Red Bull event is a prelude to Scion's involvement in drifting next year, expect a lot to happen:

Scion's newest driver & FD 2007 & 2008 champ Tanner Foust:

Former Falken girl and current Formula Drift host on SpeedChannel Courtney Day (R):

Only 1 word can describe this....____!!!!!

Point and shoots and a disposable camera in the photo pits? WTF?!?!?! haha:

The cut out in the fence (where the dude in the yellow towel is) is where I was shooting during the eliminations. Notice the ripped banners on the k-rails? This is where the drivers try to “clip” the wall to score more points I think.

One of the first runs had an accident:

Vaughn Gittin Jr. scraping the wall:

Can you see part of the flapping banner he scraped?:

I love the taste of shredded rubber:

The Sears car feeding me more rubber:

Tanner Foust asking me if I want some rubber sh?!:

Another crash:

During the finals, I moved to get a different angle of the cars. Look where all the pro's are and what they are using. I fooled them. ha

For the rest of the event, I shot in manual mode. Yikes.

Artistic action shot or a missed shot?

Ouch!

My vain attempt at action shots in manual mode:

FIN
I'll bump this thread when Edwin V. posts full coverage on www.autoimportcraze.com
great shots Edwin.....some of those shots were suicidal........I was by one of the cut outs on the chainlink during an accident and one of the kids got whacked with a whole lot of debris.
Pics taken during last weekend's Red Bull World Championship / Pro-AM Nationals in Long Beach California...

Pictured above, Chris Rado's S13 Coupe looked a lot like NST's old S13 Coupe

EXCELLENT PICS by the way. I was looking through them hoping to see a shot or two of the NST cars. Maybe next time.
Good luck and have fun with all your projects!
