Remembering HAWAIIANBUILT: A Pictorial Tribute
Aloha SCIONLIFE Family,
As some of you may or may not know Hawaiianbuilt has gone to Hawaii Heaven ... without me !!!
On August 24,2010 I was involved in an unfortunate collision coming home from my first day of Grad School. I sustained no injuries and was unharmed.
Without going into details about the collision, the amount to restore HB exceeded the estimated value of the vehicle (taking into consideration the Year, Mileage, and all Invoices and Receipts presented.)
My insurance company however was very generous in my settlement amount, and so therefore allowed me to put on a generous down payment on a new vehicle.
This is a tribute to Hawaiianbuilt.
Aloha my friend this is for you ...

You've come a very long way Hawaiianbuilt from 2004 ...

to 2010 ...

Mahalo Nui Loa for everything HB, you'll be missed by Your Family and Friends.
On September 22, 2010 A new day began ...
Much consideration had been taken into account as to which direction I would move forward.
The Second Generation xB possibly ? A Toyota Prius ?
I had to take into account that NO OTHER XB could replace HB. And with that said, purchasing another xB wasn't even an option for me. I couldn't even begin to think of rebuilding HB as there was no other like it.
I also had to take into account my 50 Mile Commute to Grad School every week, and so at 50MPG's the Prius looked even more attractive.
And so the latter of the two was chosen.
Where else to purchase the vehicle ??

I purchased a brand new 2010 Prius. Generation III Version III.
Here at the dealership awaiting going home ...

After a long evening there, it was home !!!

Aw man yours was one of my personal favorites. Sad to see its gone now =( But looks like you wasted no time in starting the modding again. Good luck with the new ride. Im sure yours is gonna change the way people look at prius'
Many Many thanks to all of you my Friends

For the last 3 years I've not concentrated much on taking pictures of our great Rides at the Shows. I've ended my posts with pictures of people who mean alot to me and to each other. I've dedicated some of my posts to some of you.
It's that, that matters most to me and I hope to you all as well. The relationships we've built throughout the years are strong and will last longer than any piece of metal, plastic, or glass.
The Scion community is awesome, and I'm definitely NOT leaving.
I'll keep you updated on the next Project for sure.
We Roll Together ... Always.
