Scion Driver Killed While Driving Wrong-Way on Freeway
i drive on the 118 to get to work and i go East in the mornings and there was alot of car parts on a truck that was cleaning up the freeway and the trailer got toasted that whatever it had inside was long gone and the side of the freeway caught on fire too. on my way back today it was all cleaned up except for the burned smell which was still in the air. well the xB was completely stock with those factory 7-spoke wheels that some come with from the dealer. also they crushed a chevy cobalt that was near them so it was a really bad accident.
He drive for 3-4 miles on the FWY the wrong way.
The truck he hit caught fire and so did the brush on the side of the FWY.
The car had two people - injured, but OK.
Truck driver OK.
Scion driver dead.

Usually, the morons take others out and survive.
Even if he was "only" tired, that's a state you don't drive in.
Just as bad as being drunk.
yeah man it's horrible how it happened but honestly if he was tired as to what they say, i don't think he would of had driven that far going backwards, he was drunk but they usually say that so the family won't look bad although it's already done and can't be reversed to change the mistake.
Stories like this are the reason why I'm not entirely comfortable with driving on the freeway late at night. There are really too many irresponsible/irrational drivers on the road.
It's possible that he wasn't drunk. My friend was killed by a wrong way driver on the 15 a few years ago and the guy that killed her wasn't drunk, just an idiot.
I'm not saying that this guy deserved to die, because that's horrible to say about anyone no matter how irresponsibly they have acted. It's a tragic accident, and drunk or not his death is tragic.
At least he didn't take out the semi driver and the people in the cobalt, though.
Still sad.

Dang I drive the 118 westbound every night, coming home from work, I get off work at midnight and the freeway was closed that night, I had no idea why, figured construction like everywhere else. Dang that is crazy to hear about, its a good thing I didn't leave early that night!
