Scion Nights/Knott's Scary Farm pics
Thanks all. It's still a learning process....like make sure that your gear is working properly after you drop it twice. haha
I know what you mean. This one gives me butterflies in my stomach too. lol

When I'm comparing the processed shot from my hard drive right next to the one here on this web site (I'm using the very last shot.), there is a noticeable difference in the sharpness of my pics. Any ideas?
Cat, just bring the "how to" video. The ENGLISH version not the Spanish one and we'll be good!
Thanks. haha

Do you shoot in RAW or JPEG with your Canon? I stopped shooting in JPEG a while back. JPEG's are a Lossy Compression I believe. Big problems here in many ways. All my shots are JPG's made from RAW files. Makes for a better image. But it;s kind of nitpicking with show pics. Only a few people notice the difference.
Maybe you should post a larger size and let us see. Photobucket does not degrade my images like your describing.

whether or not photobucket degrades the quality...i'm not sure...it really depends how they resize images...
RAW > JPEG x 10000000000000
shooting jpeg in the camera compresses the image data and throws out the unneeded info whereas RAW keeps all the data regardless. You won't be able to shoot as many images on the same card, but the ability to process images afterwards is much greater.
best thing to do to avoid photobucket or any other site from degrading your images is to pay for a host and post your shots there.
