Default Scion Super Highway

I can't speak for everyone because I didn't have to do the drive FROM Dodger Stadium........but this was one great frikkin' event! I can't believe the giveaways and the carnival atmosphere Scion did for the owners. This has to be tops in terms of marketing strategy for Scion! EVERYTHING was FREE!!!!!! I almost want to buy one now. Pics up in two weeks. lol j/k

Well said...The whole event was great from beginning to end. The ride up to Santa Barbara was spectacular with the view and all. The giveaways were my second fav, since I came up with foglights, an armrest and front mask. But my favorite part was, me actually winning 3rd place best street xb. Overall the whole Super Highway event was a blast. A million thumbs up for Scion Corp!

It was way more than I expected and it was nice that everything was free. We didn't even need those meal tickets. The only bad thing was I got a huge rock chip on the way to Santa Barbara(it was bound to happen sooner or later).

Some observations:
Getting out of Dodger stadium was a mess. There were a bunch of people who got on the 110 north for some odd reason( I think the promoters had to change directions because of some sort of Marathon on Sunset).

Was the 100 mile drive necessary? Couldn't Scion pick a closer secret location.

The line to get into the park was uphill so that was fun for people with manual transmissions.

BTW I left a bit early, was group 24 ever called to the tent?

I have to agree with willyxb about the drive and entrance. But it was definitely worth it. Free everything...food, games, parts.

It was great being one of like six xAs. No one touched the stuff in the tent for the xA. So what did they do...
If you have an xA, you can have one of everything!!!
06 fog lights
carbon fiber door pillars
spoiler (wrong color, but it'll get painted)
hood bra
door inserts
keyless entry
interior trim
mud guards
obx pedal
rear bumper protector
and some more stuff that I can't think of

DAMN!!!! Thats a lot of stuff...and for FREE!!!!

Agreed, it was a great event, although I was under the impression that we were going to have police escorts or something?

Once again Scion goes way above and beyond to say "thank you" with today's event, and I want to thank Scion for the fun event.

Of course the only negative was the meeting at Dodger Stadium. The idea was great because it was a landmark, there was plenty of parking, and it was near major freeways. I do have a few suggestions for next year (and I would really like to do this again next year):

-- Water and restroom facilities at the meet up.

-- CHP/LAPD/Civilian motorcade escort to lead cars out of the meeting spot and onto the freeway.

There WAS supposed to be an escort.

CHP or whatever agency was supposed to be at the departure
area to block off traffic and lead us onto the freeway as one
big **** line. That way everyone could've been all together
and there wouldn't have been numerous split off groups
along the freeway. But apparently they backed out/flaked.

As for those who went on the wrong freeway, you can't really
blame anyone but theirselves. If they took the time to open
the packets Scion Corp. handed out, there were directions!

I was told that too, that's one of the reasons why I kinda backed out. ahhh well, guess they figured they were Scions not Hondas or street bikes. Well regardless, I wish I would have gone. For those that went, please post up pics to rub it in some more. lol.

Well that was an adventure and a half! Only problems was the 110 freeway and getting caught up again to get on the 101, and we never did catch up with everyone which sucked since we won't be on camera. Also Group #1 (most of Team ScionTific) never got called for the tent even though they claimed they called everyone, so we never got to go in. All I wanted was a front end mask for the xB.

Can't complain though, cuz I won a set of rims!

Scion really upped the bar on this event, it probably could have been better organized, but all in all, it was freakn sick! The fact that EVERYTHING was FREE, along with the Helicopter following was freakin awsome! Hats off to Scion, and I hope to see more of these events in the near future =D
