As everyone in the main tent was waiting for the bar to open, Gil from Team Sciontific had a great idea to get the clubs together for an all SoCal Club shoot. While waiting for him to pass the word along to the other clubs, I decided to take individual club pictures starting with SDG.

I didn’t realize until after the fact we were missing quite a few clubs in this shot. Please blame Gil for this. Ha! Also Scion drift car driver Ken Gushi was walking by after using the restroom and I threw him into the crowd to take pictures with the group.


FUSCION finally comes to the area…but for some odd reason they seem to be the hardest to set up. Still celebrating California’s same sex marriage law? You be the judge.







Finally done with the club shots, it was back into the main tent as everyone anxiously waited for the bar to open.

Walk-by shoot out …..…he lost. His name was Mark and was a guest of Daniel. And he was using a Canon Digital Rebel XTI with a Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 lens. I only know that because the original size was clear enough to read his badge and lens markings. Haha Anybody know him. I thought that this was funny.

I took about a 20 minute break and left my camera at one of the SE tables. It turned out Nick V. started walkin’ round with my camera:

Dinner being served, I started walking round only to be told by peeps I’m number 1:

This next shot had to be one of my best ones of the event. In my opinion, it represents the true spirit of Scion United. On the left is Vickie and her daughter Elizabeth who drove from the Midwest. Elizabeth had only owned her Scion for about a month and got invited to this event. I met them at the hotel Saturday morning. On the right is Hector and his beautiful wife Maggie. I met them getting Nilo’s cars washed on Friday afternoon. They drove in from LA and only heard about this event through their car dealership that they got their car from about a month earlier. (And the bastard won a TRD exhaust during a raffle earlier.) And here they are meeting in the dinner line talking and having a great time together. Great job Scion and BMG!

So it was time to move to the entertainment tent. I could not believe the faucet of alcohol was flowing there as well:

I left early before the other performers came out on stage so no shots of the girls getting’ freaky on stage.

Thanks all for the props. Yeah there's difference in shooting for regional and shooting for corp. We'll see what happens. If I could only convince my boss to let me have more weekends off. Hmmmmmm................

And Teabox, you only like the photo's cause you were in some. I had you in a lot of pics but deleted them when I saw you in there while reviewing. This one got past me. hahahaha j/k
