ScionUnited Gift Cards
I recently tried to make a purchase with my gift card and was denied.
When I called BofA they said that SCION asked for the money back.
I thought the card was good until 2/09 (that is on the front of the card)
I still had $65 and it would have been nice to know they would take the
money back. So I must have missed that somehow.
Anyone else run into the same issue?
Maybe they needed the money to cover the damage claims and
the gift cards they gave to those folks

well mine went to buy toilet paper and deoderant. Right Guard FTW!!!! Anyways, I dont see a point fighting for a free gift card. Why did you wait so long to use it anyways? It's found money.

Seems like no matter what awesome thing Scion does for it's owners, even the free things, some people have to complain...

thank you scion for everything!!
My post was to alert others who maybe saving their gift cards also.
I have heard from those who where not de-activated (which is good)
who have less on their card then I did. My card still had $65 when
the money was claimed back.
When you are given a gift why would you expect for the
person to come back and say "I WANT IT BACK"
It would change the whole idea of a gift."
(Maybe when a wedding is called off) but even than I have
heard of hard feeling on both sides because of it.
As for me I am on a tight budget. I wanted to save the money
for something that would last longer then food or drinks.
The windshield wipers on my XB started to fall apart and I
thought that would be a good reason to use my card. Since
it was over $40 to replace the whipers, and was for my Scion,
I felt this would give the "GIFT" added value to me.

Bummer that you had to fork out cash for your wipers. I figure with all that Scion spent on putting us up in a five star resort, feeding us, getting us hammered, putting on a _____in' concert and providing us with transportation, not using the balance on a gift card would be a small thing. I had money left on my card but have not tried to use it anywhere. Maybe I'll give it a shot just to see.
