SE Chicago Member Moving to Southern CALI
I thought i would give SE Cali a heads up.
I moving to southern CALI early 2007. Feb most likey.
Was wondering if anyone new a good area where i can get a decent apartment for around the $650 to $700 range. I would like to be somewhere between Los Angeles and Rancho Cuca.
Im going to UTI in Rancho Cucamonga and i have a close friend who lives in Van Nuys. Like i said i would like to find a place somewhere between the two so i dont have to do much driving. Alos i know the Chicago scion community is good but how is CALI. I look forward to going to a lot of meets and seeing what CALI has to offer.
Also can someone give me a heads up on the CARB law? I am keeping my car registered in Illinois because i will only be in CALI for scholl which is about 2 yrs. I am turbocharged and i dont want to be harrassed by cops for that. I know i have seen a few people in CALI who are turboed, do you guys have problems with LA POLICIA?
Any info on the above would be much appreciated.
Thanks and i cant wait to get there and enjoy the beautiful weather all year round and the beautiful LADIES.

Yeah i kind of figured it would be that bad. Well im willing to go up a LITTLE to be in a better area. ANY ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanks.
I dont know the areas so i could be looking at a decent apartment but i dont know if its the ghetto or what.
My priority is a better area over price but money is also an issue. My MAX would be about $750 or $800

try to find some Family or close friends in Fontana! IF YOU CAN
there's lots of Pinoys there too.
search for places in Upland, West Covina, Asuza, Corona, Diamond Bar....Pomona is cool.
each place will have a GOOD & BADs to it just like anywhere else
sige, ingat and good luck

Let us know when you are ready to move. We have over 400 SE California members here.
Rancho Cucamonga is a nice area......Check Ontario, Riverside or Corona as well as they are close by.
I myself live is So. Corona.
Prices are going vary depending on the area.....but as mentioned there are lots of Pinoys.
I am sure you will feel welcomed immediately as you have a big SE family here.
Just let us know a few months before you make that move to see if we could assist.
Sige pare....

Homicides last year:
Fontana: 10
Ontario: 12
Pomona: 21
Rancho Cucamonga: 2
San Bernardino is east of here by about 15 miles. I dare say it probably had way more homicides then did Pomona. I would stay with the better parts of Ontario, Fontana, or Rancho. When I moved here from the Bay Area I brought the family down first for a trip to Disneyland and then kind of scoped the place out. 2-3 miles can make a world of difference in the area.

THANKS!!!! Im glad i saw this.
I kinda figured it would be like Chicago where you can have a nice neighborhood on one block and then a bad @$$ one a few blocks down.
Thanks again. I have been looking in Ontario and Rancho.
