Cops roll in once in a while but they normally don't harass people unless someone in the residentials complain.

The Guppy meets have been going on for close to 5 years with out incident even when meets were done at the 99 Ranch lot there were no problems (until the stupid Honda ricers messed it up for all car clubs)

Plus David - the owner of Guppy Tea House - has given permission to use the property and since it is private property cops don't really do much....altough Cerritos cops were notorious back in the day to mess with fixed up cars....there was this guy named officer Wolfe who has ticketed or even impounded most of the fixed up imports that I knew back in the early 90s.

 

Hey, I remember Officer Wolfe... he got me in my SE-R back in the day for my PIAA 1000's because the lens had a purple-bluish tint but the light that they put out was yellow.

He also wrote me up for my Stillen exhaust.

But I got both cleared up in court since I took a photo of the yellow light output and proof from Stillen that the exhaust was 50 state legal.

 

Officer Wolfe had that reputation.

I had a run in before with some wanna be cop from Cerritos College - Officer Albano who claimed to be LAPD but was not.

He used to ticket cars that were fixed up and he also harassed women to go out with him.

He wrote me up for a fix it ticket before for exhaust and car being lowered and I went to get it written off with out doing any changed to the car and the Buena Park Police said it was all with in legal limits.

You get those cops who have nothing better to do but it does not seem like that now since there are way more fixed up rides compared to the early 90s I think.

I heard Wolfe retired but he definitely made the city tons of $ from ticket revenues...but I know he meant well and was just doing his duties.

if you drive through the main entrance/road and go all the way through the parking lot and to the back left of it there's a larger open parking lot. more available food/drink locations & pretty much across the street from Guppy's.

EDIT: forgot to mention a location to look for, "Sweetie Thai"...there's a big open area with tables and such.
