We had a chance to mod out and test drive the HPI gen2 Scion xB 5AXIS RC cars by HPI..the cars ran great and have have so much options u can get for them...new wheels, faster motors, suspensions, beraks, strut bars and so on...
These cars will be available through Scion Optimize very very soon..please be on the lookout.

This is a cool-looking car, but I think that HPI really, really missed the mark on this one with the components that they used. I've been in the hobby a number of years, and here is what I think that HPI could have done better on the HPI Switch xB:
1) Motor - a 35-turn motor is WEAK. Might be great for run times, but this thing is probably dreadfully slow.
2) 6-Cell Ni-CD, 1500MAH battery pack - SERIOUSLY?! People stopped using Ni-CD in the '80s! HPI Ni-CDs also have a reputation for being garbage (people at my track can't get more than six charges out of one before they are unusable) - junk batteries. HPI would have been wise to include a NI-MH battery on this one.
3) A/C Wall Charger - it is likely that you get some junk, 8-hour charger with this car, as cost-cutting seems pretty evident throughout it.
4) Friction shocks - for $200, I'd be expecting oil-filled shocks. Many RTR trucks and cars come with oil-filled shocks for much less money.
I can also virtually guarantee that this comes with an AM radio, which is fine if you intend on running around by yourself. But, sweet-looking body aside, this really isn't worth anything close to the $200 they're asking. Maybe if they included a better battery and motor, but not in stock trim.
