Kinda in the same boat here, except I'm rolling from San Diego.... and then there's that whole part about having to clean the car after such a long drive... car wash locations anyone??

I say roll out should be around 5am on Friday cuz roll in isn't till 2pm. That way we have proper sunlight but can still avoid traffic.
Anyway, I'm down, as long as everyone behaves & doesn't horse around while driving. I've had to deal with it all too many times, & with my car the way it is now, I'm in no position to play around like I somewhat used to be before. Will we be able to make gas stops? My gas mileage sucks with having added so much weight to the car. I don't think I even get 220 miles to the tank anymore.

best time to leave is after 9am. The semi trucks are out on the road already. any earlier than that you will be sitting in bumper to bumper traffic through the Cajon. I see it every morning at 7am. Plus after 9 everyone is at work and already have the head start.

My car weights the same as yours kozmo if not more and i get 31 miles a gallon to las vegas at 70 miles a hours if you keep it at that speed you will be fine.No need to speed, please be careful.Every body out here is important, so drive safe and have fun

dang Vegas is only 3 hrs away. 1 tank is fine. You dont wanna fill up in Baker or Barstow right now. You will get shafted if you know what I mean. Tina fill up by my house or Vallero in Victorville off Bear Valley Rd if you are starting to run low.

I may not even need to fill up. I haven't really kept track of how much I get a tank. I remember last time I filled up I was at like 184, but I'm pretty sure I had disconnected my battery so it reset. & now that I think about it, I got to SEMA on one tank. Regardless though, even if I get "shafted", it won't be more than a $5 difference so we'll see. I'm not too concerned.
