loved it! I actually enjoyed the scion day event more than the haunt night and congrats to all the winners and hopefully this wasn't the last.

Thank you effortless for this thread. I was just going to try to start one. As usual, I did not go in the park and was just there for the other pre-event activities. I liked the turnout but was not use to the set up. Congrats to all the clubs for their hard work on their booths. Sorry to my friends but I have to say the one I favored best was the Balliztiks booth only because they did not forget about thanking our troops. Granted I did not visit all the booths. To me, they were most visible in doing this.

Creatively...FUSCION! Sex wise....SE. SEx does sell doesn't it? I'm sorry again but I did not visit all the booths these were just the ones I noticed because I "experienced" them. And I do apologize to anyone if it looked like I blew you off. I was doing other things there besides trying to have a good time. I do appreciate all who greeted me whom I haven't seen in a long time. Hopefully next season, I'll be out more.

Great event and thanks Scion!

My experience with Scion Night went well. Rode with one of my friends that got a 1st gen xB this year. During the caravan he got a little impatient and we ended up passing the leader of the caravan as you can see:

lol but once we waited at Beach for everyone it was nice to see all the different clubs and their activities in the parking lot. Thank you to all for the freebies and fun activities! Knotts was good too because most of the rides and mazes had short lines. Big thank you to Scion for setting up this event!

x2!!! IMO, its not a caravan, its more like "hurry up and get to Knott's asap". LOL!

yeah, i saw those 2 Scions on the side of the 605 freeway. sucks.

i also agree with the hazard thing. its ok to use them if we have a police escort. but if you're driving with them on all the time, half of the time you will forget about them to make a lane change (which a tC did to me).

after exiting the 91 freeway to go on Beach, traffic was hell.

other than that, i had a great time hanging out with friends.

Never seen so many scions in my life!!! Saw so much great creativity and taste (well except for a few...like one xb I saw had a really, really weird muffler). Anywho, it was koo, loving the fact the lines weren't that bad for the rides. The mazes were okay didn't creep me out whatsoever.

Meeting up at Iriwndale was great.

Leaving Irwindale was FAIL. Sorry but I had no idea how to get from there to Knotts and I thought there was going to be a huge caravan to Knotts. There wasn't. It was pure Chaos once the first 2 rows of cars left. They should have had several lead cars or just said "Meet ya there" and given people directions... or at least those of us that weren't locals. It was a great idea but very poorly executed.

Once arriving at Knotts the experience got much better. Parking was awesome, the booths were great, needed more vendors and the fact it was on the asphalt rocked! Grass is a bi*ch for us with mobility issues and for that I thank them.

VERY DISSAPOINTED in Pink's... They weren't open at two, we were told they would open at 3 then while waiting in line "hungry" we were told at 3:21 they would be opening at 4. Well TGIF got our food money.

Knotts after 6pm was awesome. No crowds what so ever (except for the roller coaster near the front). Lines for everything were minimal. You just walked up and within a FEW minutes you were on a ride or in a haunted room. Even the food lines were non-existent!

All in all I hope Scion continues this tradition. It was sad to see the accidents and have the fear of getting lost but the end result made up for it. I do have to think that getting rid of the car show part is a bad idea because the booths were pretty much the same thing. I thought they wanted to get rid of the competition, they just changed it from cars to booths. If anything they need to bring back the car show but make it a themed competition so people can dress up their cars in a Halloween theme where the mods don't count at all. This way the same ole winners aren't going to win all the time in a "who has the best modified car" style show.

Well said! A few years ago,'06 iirc, the car show was themed, and it was awesome.
I really hope Scion Corp. does this again next year. The fact that it was only open to Scion owners (and a few Marines) was awesome. Aside from an almost complete lack of lines, it was a lot easier to find lost members of the group.

I think the caravan could be fine tuned a little bit, but I like the idea. All in all I have to say it was pretty cool.

On a sadder note: I am very disappointed in some of the Scion owners. One of my friends had his antenna, and center caps stolen. WTF guys, seriously! This is supposed to be a group of ENTHUSIASTS, people that would be devastated if something went missing from their cars, and they are stealing something from someone elses!? What the hell?!

the overall event was great. it was fun to chat and see old friends and new. like everyone said the caravan was total chaos, ive never been almost near accident so many times in such a short period. but anyways, one issue i had was one of my friends, a first time scion anything event attendee, got his toy donation stolen from his tcm xb while we were in irwindale. that's just pathetic whoever did it. it's a toy donation for toys for tots for the marines. i hope whoever did it got a papercut from the ticket and got his/her cut infected with the swineflu. but other than that. awesome awesome event. very small lines to the rides, mazes and food. but who was that celebrity? lol it should've been jo koy. he funny. it was cool for balliztik to have the "thank you" notes for the troops. i think they got the idea right on the money. thank you scion for knott's scary farm this year

Knotts was awsome! I liked it this year better than the last. One quick question.....Were the Jabbawakees(?) there? I heard someone saying but I wasnt sure. But anyways back on track, I didnt make it to the caravan cuz I was running late but I heard that some people were being turned back because there was only a certain amount...but im glad I dodged it now that everyone says what a nightmare it was. All over all I think having the clubs do an activity was a great idea. Having Knotts open to Scion only made things funner and even scarier....THANKS SCION CORP.!!!

exactly eddie having the clubs do activities was better than just showing off their cars because it kept everyone busy and made time go by quicker than the previous years that i've gone. i figured the caravan was gonna be choas because everyone was just flying down each line. Thank you Scion Corp and Knotts for another great year at the park and awesome event.

My overall thoughts of the event are good and not happy.

The Not Happy Side:

The caravan was a good idea but it was not successful because people were jumping out of line and being unpatient and once we jump on the freeway people were swerving in and out of traffic which almost cause accidents. I took my flag off and drove a different way there because I didnt want to be involved with those who were driving horribly. I think those people that were not following the rules were people that are not in the Scion Scene and dont give a crap about anything. This was not a big deal but I thought it was bummer they wouldnt let me put up my canopy and use it for shade and also let me use my 14in bbq to bbq hot dogs and hamburgers since I didnt bring a lot of money I thought I'd bbq, but like I said no big deal.

The Good:
Other then that everything else was awesome. The club halloween booths were fun and seeing everyone was awesome. I say this was one of the better Scion Nights because only USMC and Scion owners were allowed in to Knotts which saved all the cluster in the lines and mazes. I didnt have to worry about crowds or long lines and it was awesome. I think Scion should keep this going and have it to just USMC and Scion Owners, but do the caravan or meet up spot closer to Knotts.

Thanks USMC and Scion Corp for an awesome Scion Nights!

i had a fantastic time.
didn't join the caravan.
my friends ate non-stop.
ghostrider scene was @_@.
the mazes were always amazing.
like mentioned, the lines were minimal.
i wanted a pink booty short. who got one?
yes?, would like to use it as a kind of head wear.
or maybe put it on the head rest of my vehicle yeyuh!
the drive back home was sweet. the streets were empty.
thanks SCION for this event & the clubs that made it possible.

The caravan was exciting until we got onto the freeway. I also saw the two scions off to the side on the 605. People just started going crazy and broke the caravan. There were a group of us though that stayed in the caravan, so it was nice cruising down until we hit beach.

It was like people didn't know where knotts was, and everyone just followed everyone else. They were all trying to make a left when knotts was right ahead. Then there was a lot of illegal action going on when people jumping from the left turn only lane to go straight, going around this truck. Definitely giving us Scion owners a bad name...

The event was a lot of fun. Tons of swag as usual. Won a nice AEM battery tie. The whole idea of donating a gift, like others have said, was a great idea.

Love Scion Night! Can't wait til next year!

Two flags! =)
