As far as Urban Racer thanks for this Event it was a bunch of fun but one suggestion Street and Custom Classes or Mild and Wild. Not good to do all rolled into one. To many crybabies that need that Plastic Trophy. Oh well good lunch both days and c'mon it was free both days. Thanks again Urban Racer for hosting this.

For those that were not Happy with the way things went ....It's pretty simple..... Don't go next time. After all it only cost you for the Gas to get there. Stay Home next time and make it all that much more Fun for all of us that do enjoy going. I'm not in this for the Plastic Anymore. It would be better to just go and buy yourself a Trophy and say you won. If any one needs a name of a Trophy Shop I deal with a few of them just let me know what you need.

As far as the Judging goes when is anyone happy with that. I have seem judging in the past that was just a plain joke. Those of you that know me know what I'm talking about. Oh and don't forget about the "FREE" Knotts Show coming up I can't wait for the comments about that. With all of this I'm done ....C-YA
George....

I saw you on the 71 the other night..I was in the SST truck.

I have to agree 100% on what you said.

I had been in this scene since day one and helped Scion organize events in the past.

I got sick and tired of all these cry babies so I kinda layed low on the Scion scene for sometime although I still keep in touch with the folks at Scion HQ on a regular basis.

Those who have been around since 2003 know that there is a comradery between all Scion owners and Scion clubs.

A lot of the new folks are not really getting the main premise of these events....to bring Scion owners together as one community.

It's not about winning plastic as you mentioned.

If someone or a particular club wins numerous trophies someone is always not happy with the outcome.

It's like when I used to write the Scion Life Feautured Ride for Darren..I would not get as much entries and people would always complain as to why I chose someone in SoCal etc. etc.....no one is ever happy.

Some of the OGs here on Scion Life know that it is not all about who is the best or what club is the best etc...

It's all about how we all have the same interest and passion about the brand even though we all belong to different clubs.

I have known George, Jerry, Phil, Gill and a few of the leaders of some of the early Scion clubs and all are great guys and know what these events are all about...having fun and enjoying each others company.

It's not like the good old days when there was only Team Scion West.....SoCal has grown so much and it's great to see all these clubs.

What's even better is to see owners from different clubs supporting each others events...that's what it is all about.

Hope the newbies realize that it's not all about winning.

Just appreciate all the efforts Scion has put in since day one when Jim Farley, Brian Bolain, Mike K, Rommel Momen .... the OGs of Scion and Scion Regional,,,,, put forth back in the day.

Just my .2 cents.

and that what it suppose to be. I guess newbees have to go to this first before realizing its not all about winning. Sucky part is, some old timer still look on the competitive edge and whines when they don't win.

anyways, I really give much props and thanks to Scion Corp, and to all the people who makes it possible for us to have a good time and make more friends in this Scion movement.

More Power to you All!!!!!!!!

You gotta ask the question, "why do people pay to put their car in shows?" Recognition, ego booster, see your ride in a forum board or magazine? It always starts out for fun, but somewhere down the line it ends up being a competition.

I'm having fun regardless what happens. I may not have won at VIP, but I had a plate full of salmon and pasta. Not to mention a cool Scion Racing Jacket, and left a wonderful present in the men's restroom after the event too. LOL.

I have more respect for Sid than to think he would have left this in there:

But then again, we all know what type of underwear Kirby uses:

So who who was it that left their shame in the restroom?

Yeah i didn't like the judging. I will be straight up! I'm just not speaking for myself. There are others too that were disappointed too. I guess i am the first to speak up. I am not going to say "I should have won" There was so many nice Scions there. But I would like to make it fair for everyone. When i heard the "Maybe I should join _ _ so i can win a trophy" comment someone yelled out that was so funny.

Once again thanks to SCION VIP!
Heh, this can go far and shake some egos a bit talking about judging. People get all crazy on you!! I know over the past few shows this summer and even before hand there have been some complaints about judging I agree with some of them and don't with others. I am usually thinking "They should have qualified" or "They should NEVER have won" for specific Scions I like. At VIP I will only go so far to say I never expected to win when I saw the competition and did not think I or some others would win with the better suited xA's at that particular show.

Having won some of trophies over the past 6 to 8 months I have noticed some judging styles are different. I never can really tell what they are looking for or why. I just try and make sure my car is clean

It was pretty cool seeing you there and only recognizing you by you and your wife's face from MySpace. Says allot for MySpace since we have never met and I had not seen your xB till after.
