Tint scraping
Got a fix it on the 57 yesterday need to get my front windows scraped it was a good run, 2.5 years with no incident. I need to know of a good place to go, I got my tint done at Al and Eds in Brea but its gone. Also, you think I should put a front plate on before I go to the CHP office to get checked off? OR are they just going to be looking for the infraction on the ticket?

nail polish remover and box cutter works really well to. I had to do that on my old car when I got a fix it ticket. it took me about 20 min for both windows and no damage to the windows or interior
I took mine off when i got cited. Its not that hard just make sure that you peel it with the sticky stuff attached to the film. My friend thought he could do it and removed the film but not the glue and that was a pain the @$$ to remove. So if you do it your self make sure you peel the glue with it.
Not that I've ever done it before but here's what I know:
Supplies needed:
single edge razor blades
spray bottle with a solution of liquid dishwashing soap and water.
paper towels.
1. Peel the film off your windows. You can slice down the middle (top to bottom)of the window to pull it off in two pieces to make it easier. You will hate life if the film comes off in tiny pieces. You can also use a hair dryer to warm up (a small section at a time) the glass/tint to make it softer and easier to pull off. The whole idea of this step is to expose the adhesive left on the glass. If the adhesive comes off with the film, the better.
2. After you removed the tint layer and have adhesive left all over the glass, take your solution of soap and water and spray the glass. Make sure to keep it wet during this whole process. The water softens the adhesive and the soap keeps it from drying up too fast and also acts as a lubricant to prevent the glue from sticking on you, the blade, your interior.
3. Now take your single edge razor and scrape the adhesive in one direction only. DO NOT use a back and forth scrape motion. Scrape in one direction only and then lift the blade and scrape next to the clean spot in the same direction. Rub-scraping smears the adhesive and makes it difficult to tell where you've scraped already. And keep the adhesive wet!
4. Use the paper towels to wipe up water on your interior door vinyl or it may leave a clean stain mark.
Good luck!

please dont waste your money do it yourself
its maby not even all those steps just start from one corner and peel slowly usually you can pull the adhesive off with the film itself. (ive worked at a place where we did tints) we just used windex and water+soap and a razor blad
remember
Slow is Smooth Smooth is fast

Thanks all for your advice, now what about having my front plate on for the CHP when I go get my ticket check off, it wasn't part of my infraction, I just wondering if they will say something if I don't have it on when I get there, I will have to make a bracket or something I am not drilling my bumper

Best adhesive remover that I always keep in my garage. Ronsol lighter fluid. Had to replace my full TBL recently and it powers right through that foam adhesive seal. And it doesn't affect the paint.
