Default Turbo Install....

Anyone know of any shops around that will install a turbo kit on my xb? i havent bought it yet but when i do i wanna know because i would rather not do it myself if they can install it and tune it on a dyno. Im actually interested in this kit http://turbo-kits.com/xA_xB_turbo_kits.html What needs to be tuned and how is this kit? any problems and is there a way to pass smog with it on therE? thanks in advanced guys.

It should be able to pass smog.If a Ford lightning, which uses a Supercharger, should pass smog why not a turbo. They only force air into the intake using your exhaust.I imagine your gonna have to mod the car's Comp to make it run correctly. But smog wise I think you will pass.

hmm, i dont think so cause a lightning has SC as a factory option and just because of that its legal. if i put a turbo on myself that doesnt have a carb eo # (for california) then i wont pass.

yep, it's all about the carb crud, it wont pass the visual inspection, just like an intake it's gotta have the carb sticker.

You can always offer a little bribe to the smog guy.I myself live in Corona and I took my truck to Santa Ana,alot of bribe takers, and my modded dodge ram passed in a heartbeat.I am pretty sure there are other turbo kits out there, some with a carb eo #.But I am pretty sure you will pass. You can always install it and take it to a test center and try.
