TWM short shifter install~
I just got the kit today, however, I do not have the tools to install it. All i had was a screwdriver and a hammer. I did try to do it myself but I got as far as the metal clip that held the rod in place on the assembly. I couldnt get it to budge one bit.
So if anybody in the orange county area(santa ana, costa mesa, fountain valley area) can help me install the shifter, I can pay you. I would go to a mechanic but I do not feel like paying $100-200 for a task that takes 30 mins.
Sometime today or tomorrow would be great. Of course ill drive to you. Please be reasonable with your price.
Thanks for any help.

save your money and do it yourself
go buy a dremel
trim the pushnut.
when its loose, hammer it out.
the other hard part is to take off the plastic holding the shifter.
you need a longer tool with good leverage and a flat head.
good luck
next time any regional help post here

Good advice from tikbhoy... you really need to cut that piece off and lifting the plastic needs some good umph... It's not too hard to do yourself... just a bit of tenacity...
