WALNUT - Two men are in critical condition today after being ejected from their car in a high-speed crash, officials said.
Jose Lopez, 30, and John Lopez, 26,- were driving westbound on Amar Road near the riverbed about 11:30 p.m. when they lost control of their late model Toyota Scion, said sergeant Marc Saunders with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Diamond Bar station.
The car rolled over and backwards, and hit the center divider and two trees before coming to rest, Saunders said.
Both the driver and the passenger - who were not wearing seatbelts - were ejected from the car at different locations, he said.
The men were transported via helicopter to County USC Medical Center. One is listed as "death eminent" and the other is in critical condition, Saunders said.
He estimated the car was traveling over 90 miles per hour when the crash occurred.

I wonder if The Block in OC is anymore laid back?
I JUST had a talk with my Mom yesterday about how I can't believe I ever drove without a seatbelt! I mean when I was in my early 20's racing around in my Turbo Buick Regal I HATED using my seatbelt
But now I will not drive without it on. They made Fatal mistake and took there safety for granted. Very Sad!
