i've used the search, i've trolled the board, i've read into "local" clubs... still can't seem to find much info on meets/events taking place IN west los angeles. I just moved here from the east coast, planning on settling in santa monica and would like to hook up with a group in the area. i know there are meets just outside of LA but every time I google the location it's like an hour away. not that i mind driving... i love to roll in my tc (the drive xcountry was awesome), but it'd be great to meet some scions locally. any news? any advice? any explanation? thanks.

 

My guess is why there isn't too many events/meets in West L.A. is the simple fact that the closer you get to ocean in L.A., the less open real estate there is and the more you have to pay for parking; you'll notice driving around Santa Monica/West L.A. that there aren't too places to park. This makes the SFV, SGV, and Long Beach/OC much more appealing for regular meets because things are little more spread out and they tend to have large shopping/entertainment complexes.

That's just my take on it... and I drive over 15 miles to my meets.

There are a lot of tC owners in your area, and they usually have pre-meets and then drive together to the larger meets. I live in Bellflower, and before there weren't too many tC's around. Now I know enough people to get a nice little cruise going.
