Ahh, I am going to be heading to the beach soon, maybe tommorow. And I need some firewood. Anyone know where to get some?

 

I dunno, I always just used styrofoam packing peanuts.


Try getting some old pallets. A dozen or so make for an awesome bonfire.

Ralphs sells firewood. Also those that start the fire. And stores close to the beach should sell firewood.

 

Home Depot, Wallyworld, Target, any grocery store, or go to the back of a grocery store and steal some pallets. LOL.....that's what i do at least.

Home Depot and most retailers don't have good prices on wood. They don't burn very clean. Atleast, not albertsons.

Has anyone tried other retailers? We will be sitting very close to the fire, since it will be COLD at night.

Also, anyone buy firewood near the beach? Is it cheap?

Yeah, we always use that... But the wood has specific chemicals that make the smell unplesant when burnt.

Dude craigslist has boat load of free wood. Just look around your area and type in free wood and bam! they give you an address and you just go get that sh*t.

 

Yes, treated wood can give off very toxic smoke. Arsenic is no lonnger used in CCA lumber but the other chemicals are almost as bad.

Well last time I went with my friends we didn't on plan a bonfire, but we ended up salvaging whatever was flammable near the other pits and we lit them on fire lol. It BURNNED good, we had clothes, text books, paper, and some woood, plus there was already some firewood inside. Or look on craigslist for free wooden chairs or tables.

Get a hammer and a saw lol. Mattresses are really flammable. and there's wood in the box springs.
