Hey guys, ever since last night I have been hearing a whistling noise while pressing the gas at low speeds and also at like 65-70 mph on the freeway. It sounds like a weak ___ supercharger or something and it is getting annoying unless I have my system bumping. Ive been doing research on it on this site so you guys dont yell at me lol, and it appeara that it has to do with my Injen CAI. I have a DME Power Header and a Magnaflow Exhaust also......

I wanted to know is there any way to fix it and how much might it run me? I really wanna get this fixed asap because Im stupid and I hate it when my car has even a slight problem like this...

If it sounds like it is coming from the engine bay, it's totally normal and is coming from the intake. They whistle.

 

yep likc ack said its prob your CAI cuz mine does it when slowly accellerating or if going about 65/70 i'll here it if i'm letting off the gas a bit

Lol yea exactly when I let go of the gas after accelerating I can hear it with the windows down and my system off......Is their any way to fix this or do I have to live with this annoying stupid noise lol.

 

haha live with it. or just turn the stereo up even louder that's what i do for all of the squeeks and everything in my tc. i'm running a fujita and does the same. short ram'ing it might do that, not sure (haven't had a SR since my ford ranger)

 

Fn Toyota man, I work at Audi/Porsche and all the cars run smooth with no noise or anything......Once I jump into my scion, rattle hear, squeak there, whistle hear, jeez gimme a break

 

eh you pay as much for a porsche or a nice A3/A4 audi i hope it wouldnt lol. then again most of the sounds in mine are the 'effect' of the bass lol (minus the damn radio door)

the only way i can tell is when my exhaust goes quiet

I get a little whistle from time to time.....you could try loosening and then re tightening your intake.....

that's a lil odd chels, check your air box to make sure its not rattled loose by chance

 

it could be electrical does it happen more when your headlights are on? if so it could be do to your stereo system
