When will there be more details on this event? All of my friends had a blast at last year's event. Said the cruise thru town and then down to Giant City Park was awesome. Just picked up my box last month, get my wheels next week...I can hardly wait!
PLEASE POST MORE DETAILS!!!
Are all the people from St. louis and STL Scion coming again this year? I heard a bunch of those guys came down last year.

I'm working with some local hotels to get some discounted room rates if anyone is interested. I've already talked with the Fairfield (61
993-3011 in Marion, and they will offer a suite for $79 per night. Just mention Scion. Pretty cheap if a few people went in on it. I'll post any other rates as I get them.
For those who don't know, Marion is about 10 minutes from Carbondale. Home of the Southern Illinois University Salukis. They've got a nice strip of bars/clubs and night time entertainment for anyone interested. Oh yeah, and can't forget Winstin the bagel man. One of Winstin's bagels with everything on it is almost worth the drive in itself!!!
More info to come.

quatro's is still open, and I'd challenge anyone to eat more than 3 pieces of their deep dish
. Still have Italian Village, Pagilias, Gatsby's, Side Tracks, Tres Hombres, Pinch Penny, Hangar 9, and lots more. You're right though, lots of change too, mostly for the better. Anyway the Scion show should be a lot of fun for everyone and there will be plenty to do afterwards.
I'll check on special hotel rates in Carbondale too.

it was closed for a while... I promise you that. My buddy went to school at SIU and I practically lived up there for a summer. Come to think of it... that was in 91. I didn't turn 21 till November, but we all had pizza and pitchers the whole night... including a buddy that was only 18 at the time.
There was a club... maybe called Checker's? Is that place still open? man it was a dive.
If Quattro's is open, and I make it to the show, consider your challenge accepted. It's On like Donkey Kong!

We'll have a good time, no doubt.
Here's a link to some pics of last year's event. We had a pretty good turn out, I think between 30 and 40 Scion's showed up!

Also found cheaper room rates at the Motel 6 in Marion. Only $39.99 for 1 adult and $45.99 for 2 persons, dbl bed. And they leave the light on for you!!

I haven't been there since 93-94 though, so much has probably changed since then.
