Horberg can clean all these threads up after the show...READ THIS PLEASE!!! It will save questions later!
I thought I would post the whole Itinerary in advance so you could all see what is going on so here it goes:
All Scion Show 4.0 Itinerary:
Friday May 11th, 2007:
6:00pm – Old Chicago Restaurant 1620 S. Kellogg Ave. Ames, IA
Ø Roll in, park, come inside and say you’re with the All Scion Show. Have a beer or two and a bite to eat. We will all be on individual checks so be nice to your server and tip them well!
~9:00pm – Old Chicago Restaurant parking lot
Ø After dark roll out to the parking lot and flip your lights on. This is the world famous Night Rider contest. Popular vote will determine the winner of the highly coveted Night Rider trophy!
After Night Rider contest
Ø Ames is a college town and therefore there’s a lot of places to go at night on a weekend even when school is out. Refer to your map and note the location of Main St. and Campustown. Both are home to many bars and clubs of different types. Main St. is geared more toward locals and Campustown more toward the University kids, but there’s a lot of bleed over between the two. Feel free to explore, but please be responsible in your driving.
Ø Cyclone Cab service is cheap and easy to use. 515-232-1343 will get you home safe. Your car will be safe wherever it is parked in this town really.
Saturday May 12th, 2007
CAR WASH at Lynn’s Lazer Touchless as indicated on your map. They have both manual and automatic options for a good price and lots of bays too.
8:00am – Gates open for Roll-in to the All Scion Show 4.0 Located NEXT DOOR to the Wilson’s lot at the Courts on Duff 2224 S. Duff Ave. Ames, IA
Ø You are welcome to start rolling in at 8. One of the members of ScinergyIA (identify them in their red and black shirts) will help you park.
10:00am – Noon – Registration for the All Scion Show 4.0
Ø The registration table is located on the Courts on Duff lot. If you want to compete in the show you must register. Registration is FREE. You will get a windshield card that must be displayed and your dash plaque for the event. This will also enter you in the raffle (which is also free).
Noon – 4:00pm – Judging
Ø You car will be judged by a minimum of 3 judges. They will not travel together, but you are welcome to talk to them and are encouraged to answer any questions they may have. You may also demonstrate any “talents” your car may have. Please be respectful of both the judges and their time at all times.
Noonish – LUNCH!! On the Wilson’s lot.
Ø You and your crew are welcome to join us for lunch provided free of charge by Olde Main Restaurant and Brewery (located on Main St. in Ames). Enjoy!
4:30pmish – Awards at the Courts on Duff lot/Raffle
Ø As soon as the votes are counted and the winners are determined we will gather for the awards ceremony. All trophies will be handed out and lots of raffle prizes from our sponsors will be given away. Please remember your vehicle’s number.
5:30pm – Roll Out
Ø The show is over, go get cleaned up for the cruise.
6:30pm (time may change and exact time will be announced at the awards ceremony) – Scion Caravan Cruise Through Central IA. Lowe’s parking lot 120 Airport Rd. Ames, IA (across the street from Wilson’s). Please note that the announced time will be the LEAVE time. Please arrive in advance.
Ø Meet us in the Lowe’s lot for a scenic cruise through a few small Central Iowa towns. We will be making a long loop and ending up back at the hotels here in Ames.
After the Cruise – Dinner will be on your own.
Ø Meet up with your friends, club mates, and whoever to nourish yourselves after an amazingly cool day. Ames offers a number of restaurants up and down Duff Ave including local sit-downs (Old George’s, Hickory Park, O’Mally McGee’s Mexican, Dublin Bay Irish Restaurant, LaFuente Mexican, King Buffet Chinese), chains (Applebee’s, Red Lobster), fast food (McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Subway, Arby’s, Be-Bop’s), pizza (Pizza Hut, Old Chicago), and more (Panchero’s, Cold Stone). For the more adventurous try Campustown for some Indian, Thai, authentic Chinese, BBQ, and more. If you’re really stuck on what to eat, ask Alex he obviously knows the best places!
Ø If you didn’t try a bar or club on Friday night, try one tonight! Remember, Campustown and Main St. are the places to be.
Sunday May 13th, 2007
11:00am – Sunday Drive with Alex – Advance Auto Parts Lot 508 S. Duff Ave. Ames, IA. This cruise LEAVES at 11:00am, please arrive ahead of time to avoid being left behind.
Ø The show is OVER! Alex is taking a nice Sunday drive to celebrate. Nothing fancy, just a nice drive down Lincoln Highway to the West probably, unless he changes his mind and goes North… You will just have to join him and see!
Here is the map you will get a paper version at the show:
