Default G1 -- The Resurrection (KC area)

I'm sure none of you will know what i'm talking about but a once great local car club is being brought back from the dead by myself and some friends www.groupone.org

Please Note..........this is not a scion club nor is it antype specific enthusiast club it is a car club meaning there are rules, guidelines, and dues upon membership. (essentially what i'm saying is that there will be mod requirements and show requirements etc.....) it is purely in the developmental stage right now. But if you are in the kc area and are interested stop by the forum and introduce yourself. This was a great club but unfortunatly the people in charge didn't have the groups best interest in mind and that led to the downfall.

its a great group of people looking for more

as i said it is purely develpomental right now so our "first draft" reqs breakdown is only available in the admin lounge but i'll paste it here to answer any questions

Dear Group1 Recruit,

Thank you for taking the time needed to get to know more about joining Group1, G1 is not just a “banner” club, meaning just because you know anyone in the group you are automatically in the club, obviously there are going to requirements and stipulations for you to be considered a part of GROUP 1

First dues, yes there are going to be club dues, and that amount will be decided when the club is going to be out showing and for other club things.

Okay so lets get into it here, to be in Group1, you are basically interviewing for a job in a sense, and this is your chance to tell us as a team what you are all about, this can be anything about you, your car, plans, goals etc. Just make sure to let it all out. As it sits now I will be receiving this info through email @ forum@groupone.org

Back to a little bit of the “dues” and what they will be going to, well when show season is in full swing the dues will be there in an acct to be used for the banners, yes you will be required to run with a banner at a show, and why not? I mean this is what it is all about in a sense, showing who you are and who you support, plus with the current logo, the banners are not going to be something HUGE to cover a whole window they will be small and side window placement or front window (TBD) More to come on that later. Also dues will be going to shirts for the team (TBD), Also a “BANNER” for the shows.

About the “proposal” to be considered into Group1

What we are looking for as a group is partially about the car and more about the person(s) that want to be a part of something that each member believes in. Basically we want to know about you, who you are, background, past cars, clubs if any. Then get into the car, modification list, pictures (def get some good pictures; not some camera phone pictures please. Then include some of your future plans/

Probation: Yes there is probation for the “new” people that want to be in G1, don’t be scared really can’t be that bad, the people that are GROUP1 members have been friends and car enthusiast and have a background with one another and believe me we all started where you are currently at, not like anything came over night. While on probation we will have weekly GTG’s and monthly meets (TBD) on locations for each (hopefully at my house for the monthly’s and then somewhere out and about)

At the meetings we will discuss shows, trips, the club as a whole, the atmosphere, “new” people etc. Club Business in a sense, esp. if there are “new” people.

(probationary members are not allowed at “meetings” but can come to the GTG”s, and please do)

Being a member of GROUP1 isn’t all about the car or the ride or the next “mod” that will help you out at the show, it is about a family unit. We all have different lives with 1 common goal and that is to have a successful car club with GROUP1. We are not here to just get the most cars to get the most trophies think “quality over quantity”

Thanks for the interest in GROUP 1 and as always “expect the unexpected”

Jason
G1 President

one thing that isn't included is a amendment i added myself---- we've decided to make this a 21+ club for two main reasons, 1: younger kids commonly bring drama and bad attitudes which we neither need or want in our club and 2: Durring G1s last run we had our meets at sherridans and starbucks, That i didn't like one bit but with a 21+ rule we would have the ability to meet at a bar which to me is a much more adult friendly and possibly fun setting for our weekly meetings

Hope to see you on the forums

Apparently adults can't carry on a conversation here without posts being deleted. Did you reiceve a pm complaining about the discussion in this thread, or the one i created in general? I'm trying to understand the boundaries as to why you are taking the ball away so quickly from us. Adults should be able to discuss their views on certain aspects pertaining to themselves, without having a 3rd party rush in because the conversation isn't about loving and caring for scions. As I told Sinner944, the real world doesn't have a Super Mod to come in and keep everything squeaky clean. Everything was on topic in both this thread, and the other. Next time, let a debate run its course. Not everybody is born with such sensitive ears.
