Default KC Carwashes?

As I was driving 20 minutes to the nearest, personal favorite car wash, I thought it might be a good idea to ask those around the area of their favorite car wash. My goal is hopefully to find a nice one closer.

Shawnee Mission Pkwy and Metcalf has a car wash behind the QT there which seems to do a great job and takes a credit card for the manual wash. Any recommendations would be awesome! Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a search and couldn't find anything

I use the car wash in my driveway. It's a little far away from KC, but it's GOOD!

;)

I dunno where any car washes are in KC . . . I google map it every time. . .

I was wondering the same thing. I go to the carwash at the Top of the Wornall near my apt, but it's not terribly fantastic. It's better than trying to sneak a water hose and key onto my apartment building water spouts.

And of course if you type "car wash" in any search engines or yellow pages, the car washes rarely say whether they're manual, automatic, etc.

Olympic on Santa Fe and Ridgeview, Olathe, KS, 66061

You can use your card, and their aren't a ton of confusing options!

Plus its cheap!

Ever heard of the phrase, "That's too easy." It applies here

But actually, I steer of that this time as I looked one up (103rd and State Line) that was near me and I felt my car was dirtier leaving than when I arrived. Some places are just dumps and I was hoping to avoid the footwork. To summarize, I'm lazy.

Appreciate the suggestions so far! I'm all over them as both are seemingly closer than the other one I prefer. Especially the Wornall one...

I found a manual one on Red Bridge and Holmes, and it's not too bad. I felt pretty safe there lighting wise and they had plenty of vacuums. Didn't seem terribly busy, but enough traffic that it wasn't desolate either. It also has two automatic ones, but I haven't used them yet. I'm always a little leery of automatics.

GARRGH! Please tell me no one uses an automatic touch car wash. If there is a wax/rain-x option, you are wasting monies. Clay/wax should be done in your driveway. Bucket o' soap/warm water(plus a water bucket) is the best way to wash and monitor the health of your paint.

STNC...I really wish you would stop using that quick detailer...it makes your Scion cry at night. haha

I live in NKC but I drive to the Olympic on SM Parkway. I usually do the manual wash (credit card ftw) but the automatic is great as well. Just the basic wash, with the underbody option. There's a lot of dust where I work so it helps. There's is also an Olympic on North Oak, but I don't think it's run by the same ppl as the shawnee and olathe ones.

I washed my xB and my Mini yesterday in my front yard. :D It'll probably rain now. BTW, those who use the automatic car wash i hope you know it just recycles the water that runs off the other cars in front of you...

I normally wash my b twice a week, and mostly on my driveway! But I do like using the carwash one on 135th and Blackbob, in O-town!

Auto Carwashes. Favs are 119th & Metcalf, expensive, but sudsy. Holmes and Red Bridge, a few steps away from a sonic, so it has turned into a hang of sorts. But I spend a lot of dough at Mission and 47st.
It's not good but takes cards and is close to work, oh no minimum like 119th to and for quick washs, ends up cheaper than feeding quarters.
