Default Moving On

Well........after 2 years of being on the Scion side, I have been chosen to be the Toyota District Manager for Kansas. The New Scion District Manager is Matt Rhodes. Matt came from the Toyota side and will definately bring some cool changes to how things are done. He is definately younger and more hip than me!!!!

Anyway, I wanted to post a thread thanking each and every one of you who came to our events and supported Scion. Your support is why Scion has been so successful. If at any time you all need anything, email me at mark_olson@toyota.com.

Thanks Again for 24 wonderful months
Mark Olson

No Mark, Thank YOU!

Many people here would've never met had it not been for Mark and the events he has sponsored since Scion came to the Midwest.

All of the KC "First Friday" meetings, the Scion shows at World of Wheels and KCIR, and every event put on by a dealership in the upper half of this region have all happened as a direct result of Mark's involvement. We owe him LOTS.

Matt is a great guy and I've had the privelage of working with him previously. He certainly has some big shoes to fill (no matter how hip he is!).

Mark, we'll miss you and your involvement. We'll do our best to make you proud, and you better damn well believe that we'll keep in touch. Take care and good luck in Kansas!

Scion por Vida!

A true car enthusiast we know you will be valuable to Scion or Toyota. Thank you for your patience with all of the dealers!!
Our first launch of scion was full of questions. You've spent countless hours of phone and email time with me making sure we got it right. And boy did we get it right!!! I'm sure you cringe each time your caller ID says Molle. If it's not a "where are my parts?", "you know the web site is wrong", "why don't i have any cars", "i heard... " then it just wouldn't be Monday.
So thank you for all your hard work - all the free passes - all the free stuff - all the FUN times we've shared with you and Scion.

Please enjoy your time with your wife and son.

We wish you the best of luck at your new job. Though I didn't know you personally, I have definately taken notice of the time and effort you put forth for us Scion owners in the Midwest. Thank you.

Younger and more HIP then Mark Olson. I didn't think that was possible. The first time I met you in KC you scared the Crap out of me. I was younger yet you have more enegry and enthusiasm then 5 of me combined.

At least your still with the Toyo family.
Scion will miss you. You've been the coolest. Now we'll just have to try to train Matt to be like you.

Thanks for all your hard work Mark. Don't forget about us.

Mark is the man.

The thing about Mark I'm going to miss the most is his "Unbelievable" true storys. Each story was just as crazy as the last and you just have to wonder how someone can think of doing such things. Or did he just walk under to many ladders or broke a ton of mirrors. I will give him prop's for being the most resourseful person I've ever met, a real life MacGyver.

I'm going to miss the one and only Mark Olson.

Matt Rhodes is going to be awesome.

Wow...it is a sad day for me! I can honestly say that Mark Olson did more for Scion in the KC Region than I could have imagined. Thanks for all the great times at KCIR, concerts and car shows.

You have my best wishes and I know you'll do a great job!

Thanks again and I'm sure I'll see you at a few Scion events.

Best of luck,

Come on now this is why we work for the most mispronounced car company.

Anyway why do you think Dan, Alex and I will break the new guy? We run a smooth show - its the 5/month dealers you need to worry about. I think they're allowed to wear cowboy boots on the scion showroom at those dealerships!!

I think it would be hard to say anything good about Mark that hasn't already been covered, so I'll stick with the simple...

Thanks Mark for all you've done, and good luck in the future.
