Default s3 - Scion Skate Show - Sep 18 2005 - SPFLD MO

Reliable Scion presents:

www.s3event.com

On Sunday September 18th, 2005 at the Springfield Skate Project in Springfield MO, Reliable Scion is hosting an event of EPIC proportions!!! We are having a Skate Tournament/Scion only Car Show/Live DJ/Free Food and Drinks/Live Radio Remote from Q102/Scion Test Drives with premium prizes/whatever else I can come up with!!

Skating begins at 11 am and goes through 5pm. Trophies and prizes will be at 5 pm at the end of all the competition.

Scions can show up anytime but judging begins at 1 pm and goes until 5 pm. You must be present at 5 pm to receive any prize won.

Skate Tournament:

We are having a skate tournament with both and indoor and outdoor skate park. There is a huge place here in town for kids to skate at and we are bringing people in from all over the surrounding are for a tournament to rival anything we have ever seen in the Midwest skate scene! There will be three classes of skaters and prizes for each level. I am hoping to get scion boards printed up for this event for first place as well as over $1000 in prizes + tons of other free stuff!!! This skate tournament should be very exciting and have a ton of kids out here competing for a huge setup of prizes and the respect and recognition of everyone there. It will be an awesome thing to be there for! Check out their website at http://www.sk8springfield.com

Scion Only Car Show:

There is a Scion only car show in the parking lot of the skate park right by the admission entrance. Anyone with an xA, xB, or tC is welcome to participate but I warn you . . . you had better bring it. I am giving away over $1000 in prizes for the car show so I bet there will be some SICK rides there. There will be several categories for each level of owner. We will have the traditional dash plaques as well. If you own a Scion, you will be in competition for something. Everyone will have a chance to win some really great prizes. You will be amazed at what we are doing with this. I can't wait to see you all there!

Test Drives:

We will be having test drives in each Scion model ALL DAY LONG. I will be giving away some premium prizes (thinking a few iPod music players) for test-drives "raffle style". And before you ask . . . no you can't win a test drive prize if you ALREADY own a Scion. ;) Nice try people, but I have prizes for them too!

DJ Imperial/Q102

I am bringing a professional DJ (Just booked DJ Imperial) to play music for us all day long and am also having Q102 a local alternative rock station to come out and give away a ton of stuff while they are there. They will bring out the van and make even more music while we are there.

Cinema Scope

A local Springfield band will be playing also directly after the awards ceremony. They are called Cinema Scope and are a really great up and coming local band. Playing alot of shows right now, so I am lucky/glad to get them! This show is gonna rock! Check them out at http://cinemascope-music.com/

Halo Tournament

Just got these guys www.gamecorps.net to set up shop and run a Halo Tournament at the event as well. I think there will be a small charge to register but that would be as a donation to the Skate Park. I will get more info, but as it sits, they think we shou7ld be able to do smoe 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 action. Millen, this one is for you!

There will be food and drinks available, I got music covered, I got an awesome skate event, PRIZES beyond belief (might need some help carrying them all out there), a Scion only car show, stuff to do all day long . . . you can't miss this event! I am giving away several thousand dollars worth of prizes, cash, gear, food, and everything else. There will be a ton of people here so come out and have a great time, eat some food, win some awesome stuff, and REPRESENT your pride on the grill!!! See you there!

what do you all think about having the skate and scion prizes at different times so people from out of town on the car show can leave earlier if the HAVE to? I wanted everyone to stick around for the skate show, the evening( 4-8 ) will be all the cool skating, but I don't want people to not come because they can't stay until 8pm . . . what do you think?

Scion only show, no entry fee for cars, but there is a fee for skaters. all proceeds go to the Springfield Skate project to help them pay for the new construction of the outdoor street/pool park.

And we would be glad to have you all around!

Basic is an understatement. That's literally 3 minutes worth of "work" there getting the information in one place. ;)

Help me brainstorm so other cool "categories" for prizes in the car show. i have been coming up with some stuff. add to it and we'll pick out the best ones and make them part of the event!

1. oldest scion owner(age, not when you bought it)
2. best scion owned by a female
3. longest drive
4. best performance mods
5. best interior
6. cleanest scion
7. best xA, xB, tC
8. first arrival for the day
9. best wheel & tire overall package
10. best of show
11. most unique
12. best OEM scion (ie only factory parts)
13. most mods
14. best mod
15. lowest odometer/newest owner
16. most represented club

you get the idea. think up some other categories and we'll pick through them to make up the whole contest! have fun!

I am considering this band to play after the event. Anyone seen them before? Check out their tracks and let me know what you think!

http://www.myspace.com/cinemascope

Also, what do you all think of a Massuese . . . how do you spell that anyway? I am going to have some one there to rub out all of your road rage and into the nice people you are! She'll take tips I think, but don't think she is charging anyone. Just doing it for promo. I 'll find out next week if she can do it!
