Tulsa digging up buried car
Ok, back in 1957 the people of Tulsa buried a 1957 Plymouth Belvedre as part of their time capsule. They're digging it up soon and they're have a celebration and I thought it sounds pretty cool because they're having alot of stuff going on and I was wondering if anyone wanted to go to it with me. I think it'd be cool if a bunch of Scion's entered the car show. And I just think seeing an old recently buried car would be cool. If you want some more history and info about the event here is the website: www.buriedcar.com.
Just posting it up here. Thought some people would think it would be cool.

Did anyone go look at the pictures from the unveiling? The car was THRASHED! All they did was put a plastic bag over the car and then fill it up with dirt. The thing was a pile of mud and rust!
HAHA
people from Tulsa still rock though!

^^Totally.
Hell, I damn near used "OMG" in a post! Wait...
Anyway, yeah, I didn't find a reference to what happened to the oil and gasoline that was buried too.
Perhaps the planning commisssion should've invested in a vault made out of something less porous than CONCRETE!!! Anybody with a basement in the Midwest knows that stuff isn't water tight!
My favorite part about all the articles is how everyone wants to donate it to the historical society. I'm betting that wouldn't be the case if it were in pristine shape!
