Default What Would YOU Do? (Event Ideas)

As a Scion Champion, I have had a lot of good ideas for events and car shows around Kansas City. I want to hear your ideas on what would be fun and interesting. So if you have any input, post it up! Just think of all the different events you have been to and what you liked about them. I don't have a lot of opportunities to get around the city. So if you know of a killer venues talk about that as well!

I would host a major car show. It would bring people in from all over the country and we would give away something stupid for best of show. I would plan events for 3 days in a row to make it worth coming out for and it would be super fun. Yeah. That's what I would do! I could call it the All Scion Show 4.0. Yeah.

Had to give you a hard time buddy!

So, here's one I can't do in Ames so the idea is up for grabs.

ScinergyKC had several meets at the indoor go-kart track. From what I understand it was a great time. That would make a great dealer event too.

Structure it a bit more with weight classes and/or age classes and offer up a few trophies or other awards for the best times out on the track. Take entrys in advance (you can limit the number of entrys if you like) and pay for those people to race. Secure VIP parking for everyone in a Scion and if the weather is crappy give an award for dirtiest car.

Arrange for dealership signage in the establishment for both that day and a period of time after the event. You may even ask if they will let you run the dealership name on the carts or something.

Bring in some pizzas or even tacos or something wierd like that for everybody that shows up. Hype it in the dealership and maybe even bring out a "dealership team" too. The GM may want to buy up some tickets for employees and make it a party for them too.

Yeah, those are the bare bones of a decent idea. Somebody take that and run with it! If you want me to clarify anything too, just hit me up.

Thanks Alex, that sounds like A LOT of fun! I know the indoor track here in KC. (Please ignore my earlier comment about the bear hunting thing....) We were talking Sunday and I think a group of us might join you on the slopes.

yeah, chris, why not talk about supporting a local scion club? there are three in KC and only 2 with dealers who support them (to my knowledge)

What up guys I dig the go kart track thing Ive been pondering doing something like this soon since we've got a nice new one here in the Lou, also if you get with a local club you could have mod days maybe at the dealer or something just to keep everyone involved.

You will have to use your imagination for this one.

I would host a “Cheesy 80’s Prom Night”. First I would rent a cool ballroom at a hotel so everyone could party all night. Everyone would dress up in 80’s style prom attire or just 80’s style clothes. Everyone would park in the front of the hotel to show off their Scions. I would encourage everyone to go out to eat beforehand wearing their fancy prom clothes, just like prom night. When everyone got to the ballroom, there would be a big dance floor and an 80’s cover band and/or a DJ to rock the night away. I would get a photographer to take pictures of couples in front of an 80’s style background. There would be prizes awarded for:
• Best Dressed
• Biggest Bangs
• Prom King and Queen
• Most Popular
• Most Perfume or Cologne
• And whatever else I think of in the mean time

It would be one of the cheesiest events ever, but one of the most fun. Of course this is just an idea but it might come to life one day.

what up guy? if you want to do that event, i would tie it in to a local highschools homecoming or something, get with the SGA and admin for the school and see if they would be interested in you funding the idea and allowing there to be a car show to tie it together. then invite scion owners to attend as "chaparones" and dance dance dance!

*you spin me right round baby right round, like a record baby right round round round!*

Hey Chris,

I dig the '80s thing (of course). I was actually thinking of something similar with a Carnival or Masqerade theme to it. Kinda hard to pull off in Ames, but I might try anyway because I'm stupid like that. We'll see what happens.

We should do a big Scion show at Worlds of Fun. That'd be awesome. Just rent out the whole park (that'd be alota money) and just charge the people showing since it'd cost a bit of money to pull it off.

That would almost have to be a regional deal. It would be a lot of fun though. I think it would be better to just pay for the owners and set up a HUGE display of Scions close to the gates. That way there would be some good exposure for everyone to show off their cars.
