Ok so I finally got my license and now i need a good, reliable tuner shop that can hook me up with parts and maybe install them for a good price. I live in englewood, so if anyone can give me some shop names that wuld be great.

you should make a list of the type, brand, ect. of part you are looking for.

I know 9second racing has the best price on megan racing, tein, and venom products in the state. but its hard to make recomendations if we don't know what you are looking at doing.

I've done some business with 9second and they treated me well, I installed the parts myself of coarse so I cant help with that department.

as far as overall customer satisfaction I know some that love the guys and others that think they are a bunch of retards, they treated me very well and gave a good deal on the parts I bought from them. just be carfull and do alot of research before you just let someone start messin with rour ride.

I know kj gets alot done from them and as far as I know is very satisfied. he's probably a good guy to talk to.

also I am an auto tech so agian if you want any help or want to learn to do it yourself just holler.

what are you looking to do brad?

you'll save a lot of dough/time/frustration if you really research this site and figure out how to install things yourself. that's just my 2c. I don't want anyone touching my car that doesn't respect it the way i do.

OK thanx guys. So i have done my research, a ____ load of it actually. I got so carried away and I planned out everything i wanted to do to my car in the next 5 years, so i think/hope i know what I'm getting myself into. I wanted to start off with suspension, I was looking at the Dc Sports Carbon Front Strut Tower Bar, the Hotchkis Sway Bar set, and then when i get enough money, the Tein SSP Coillovers and Tein EDFC. For now at least, just the sway bars and tower bar though. Do any of you guys have these things, I've heard that they are some of the best products. I know the tower bar is easy to install but I will probably need help witht the sway bar set, and I'll probably get the cilovers and EDFC professionaly installed. SOound good so far guys???

thanx,
brad

sounds good but my recomendation to you is if you plan on going with tien springs, don't waste your money on sway bars. tein has a very stiff spring rate and eliminates alot of body roll this way. so the sway bars will become money spent that you really don't need. also the teins will give you one hell of a bumpy ride, if you plan on going with the hotchkis sway bars you should look into getting the hotchkis springs, I have them and they look sweet, ride nice and still give a moderate performace upgrade, (the sway bars is were the kit gets its good gain).

also if you really want to handle the turns I recomend some performance tires for the summer, don't buy them now cause the get really slippery in the snow.

as far as your strut tower bar make sure you get an adjustable, you don't have to have it but it nice to adjust the stiffness of your chassis when you want to race, and then have it soft for comfort on the street. and try to get a light weight one to help keep that down. every 100 pounds is a .10 of second off your 1/4 mile time.

But if i get the Tein EDFC i can adjust the damping force of the coilovers so i can make the ride softer for street and stiff for the track (or the street :D also). Good tip about the sway bars thought, thanx.

u can only adjust shock force, not spring force. and the springs are still very stiff. I think its great if thats what you want. you will still benifit from the sway bars but not enough for the money.

good luck on your build and any questions or want help, I'm a honda tech with acess to all the tools and equipment you will need. so just holler if you need help, advice, cheap labor ect.
