cross your fingers!
I'm finally (hopefully) getting my exhaust and headers on this weekend that I got for Christmas and I've been waiting over 3 months for this so I'm very excited! We'll also put on some of my CF trimmings if we have time left over. Let's just hope the weather is halfway decent, not that it matters since we'll be doing it indoors but we have to drive to Torrington to do this. Wish me luck!
Well.... we drove up to Torrington on Sat evening. We stayed the night with the plans on working on the mods on Sunday. When we woke up there was about 8" of snow on the ground. My mom's house (where we stayed) is about 9 miles out of town, with 3 miles of that being dirt road. We had to drive into town to the shop where we did the work, so we learned that the xB makes a pretty nifty snow plow, lol. (Don't worry I went really slow and didn't hurt my poor little car.) Once we got to the shop, we had to let the car melt for a while so we didn't have as much time as we planned. We did get the exhaust on, which was a pain in the ****, but it sounds great! We decided to wait on the headers sine we didn't have an extra gasket just in case we ripped the factory one. So we'll have to save the headers and other mods for another day when its not blizzarding!
The drive back to Laramie last night was horrible. It took 3 hours. We couldn't go over 40 mph between Cheyenne and Laramie because the roads were so icy and it was windy and my car is so light that it was just sliding everywhere.
We saw a pretty wicked semi accident, too. But it was all worth it in the end cuz I love my new exhaust! :D

My exhaust took a lot longer than that. You're lucky! We had problems cutting the stock exhaust off because the pipe cutter we used would only cut half way around and the other tools we had were this crazy sawzall that seemed like it wanted to murder someone more than cut pipes, and a hack saw that wouldn't fit in there very well. Then of course the stubborn rubber muffler hangers were a HUGE pain. The last problem we had was getting the back piece of the new exhaust in. It was very tricky like one of those mind puzzles but we finally figured out how to get it in there. We came very close to taking off the rear lip but thankfully we figured it out without having to do that!
I can't wait for the headers. I found a "how to" here on the forums so that will help us a lot. The next thing I really want to get is a turbo kit, but that will probably be a job for a professional!
