So I am now upset........

I took My xB back to Scion Monday morning so they could Fix my front bumper from where they screwed up the holesfor the plate they drilled the left higher than the right I was informed it was supposed to take the better part of Monday to remove the clear bra fix the holes spray it and re apply the clear bra. (cool less than a day i am excited) At 2:30 they call and say well it looks like the cost to fix the bumper properly is going to be about the same as getting a new one and repainting it then have the clear bra put on the new one should take a couple days as they want to bake the paint a full day before the clear bra it.... they say i should have it back thursday afternnon! cool i have it for the weekend so i can start modding the inside for show season! just received a call from my dealer and Now he tells me they are having a hard time matching the paint on the xB which i always knew would be a hard paint but when they seemed so sure they could get it done i made my plans for the weekend. I now have to wait for a specialist to come to get it right and even then they think it may take til the end of next week now i dont know i think i could just scream as the dealer just keeps compounding a bad situation by continuing to over promise and underdeliver i do have a free rental, but at the same time if they hadnt screwed up the bumper in the first place i wouldnt need the rental so now what would you do ? scion drivers

i say, just be glad they are taking the time to fix it right and do what they need to to bake sure you dont have to come back. They could just halfa$$ it and give back something that looks like sh*t.
Most dealers wouldnt even own up to their mistake, i know my dealer wouldnt.

It does suck that you dont get it for a week.

Welcome to my world. They said they would fix it , it's just going to take more time then they originally thought. Trust me. It's costing them some cash to make you happy.
You could be working on sending back your second touch screen head unit and waiting for the third one to come in.
Side note: it has been over a month since I started this endeavor and I have no idea when I will have a working head unit.

I AM NOT COMPLAINING about the time. It is more about the constant shoveling of what i call "fiction with conviction"meaning they take an answer they think works and just keep modifying it until they get it right kinda like when you call and order something and they constantly tell you that it will be here tommorrow yet tomorrow you get the same response i want it fixed properly and am glad they are doing it for me just wish they could've said it might take a couple weeks to fix since i have such an amazing and unusual paint to match we will let you know when your car is ready is all i wanted to hear then i would've been happy just to get it back when they were done noW I am sitting here feeling lied to when i didnt need to be

sorry to hear the bad news.

I know my dealership (my work) would have stolen a bumper off another car that wasn't screwed up and sent the bad one out so that a customer wouldn't be out that much time. plus it cost the dealership less because they don't have to the pay the rental fee's.

but an rs4 may be pretty rare so all I can say is good luck and tell them your frustrated with the inconvience, appreiciate that they are trying to get it 100% right but your ____ed and should be compensated for your loss.

I don't like when people _____ just to get free stuff but I think you and frosty deserve something for time.

speeking of wich being a tech I'm having a week from hell, kinda like your situation but I'm on the other side and have a customer that's been without their car for over week and its gonna keep growing untill I figure it out, he's been told everday this week that we need tommorow and it should be done but it hasn't happend. I feel horrable and wish I could fix it but I think everyone should just understand thats the industry. some times its a quick easy fix and others just fight everything you do? I know it's hard to understand from a customer point because even I get ____ed off when it happens to me.

just hang in there and try not get upset, it will all work out in the end.

best of luck to ya!

actually when I had my repaired back when it got hit a year ago, I was told it would be 5-6 days to complete the repair. ok thats fine insurance pays for a rental car gets fixed ok!

well 7 days later I called to get an update since I hadn't heard anything and I was told they just started on it yesterday. at this point I'm down right ____ed, I only had the had the car 1 month was angry that it was in an accident and now this, well after another 6 days I call for an update and was tommorow, then another day, and another and another, buy the time it was finished it was 3.5 weeks. I was angry at the shop and the management and the person who hit me and their insurance company, and on and on.

well when I inspected the car for imperfections and got to drive it once again all my anger disappeared. I didn't care because I had my baby back and it looked amazing .

then I found out that they broke one of windows and replaced it but didn't tint it becuase I had illegal tint and they wouldn't cover it. so 35 bucks out of my pocket for 1 window to be tinted. again ____ed, then when it comes back from tint a day later it looked like the tint was scratched, sent it back to the tint shop and they told me it was the glass and they couldn't do anything about it. took to the collision center and they won't cover it becuase they said it was the tinters fault. so I'm not paying for a new piece of glass, instead still to this day I drive around with a rear window that 2 pretty large stratches on it. to me it's just a reminder that "everything good eventually goes bad"

sorry for the ranting, I've been holding that in for a while now and I just told you not to let get you down, look what it did me and frosty.

I need a counsler!

Just hang in ther you dont want it to come back looking like a$$. If there is on thing that i know its that good things are worth wating for look on the bright side 2 years ago when my car got hit I didnt get a rental car and my car was in the shop for 2 months and I never saw my $1000 deductable because of an uninsured imigrent so just hang in man it will be worth the wait in the end.

Which dealership did you go to??

I'm jsut curious. Before I joined the club, I had some not-so-nice run in's with Burt Toyota and my broken sun roof. What a pain!

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Have you called Scion Corporate to tell them what's been going on?? It's worth it!!

Go Scion
they are doing a great job i am just overly impatient i guess cuz i want my xB back I REALLY DONT LIKE THIS LITTLE CORROLLA THING I'M FORCED TO DRIVE
there is three things they are doing well

1.) Fixing it at no cost replacing the whole front bumper and clear braing it to match the old one so i dont have to pay for that again either

2.) giving me a free rental car (even though i dont like it) for as long as it takes to fix it

3.) keeping me informed (although i dont like the answers i am given)hence the impatience

so for that i am giving them some slack i know how bad it could actually be handled working for a dealer myself i am actually quite impressed with the response

They could've always taken the position of you bought it and it isnt listed on your we owe so ____ off approach that so many people have heard over the years
