Default HELP. Momo shift ****, Scion shift boot

My new shift know looks great! But I need help with making the shift boot "flow" into the bottom of the new ****. Right now there is a plastic chrome ring that is larger then the base of the ****.

I have no idea what to do about this. I need some advice or a helping hand on this one.

(singing monotone) I ask thee all knowing sons of Scion, Bless me with your wisdom. I am at your mercies'. Ooohmmmm.

Picture would help. Usually aftermarket shiftknobs are usually made for short shifter. Thats why I bought obx because it has long metal finish spacer so it will flow with stock shifter. Anyway, post a picture.

I followed a tutorial posted by Mikochu when I installed my OBX shift ****. I believe this is what you will need to do. Here is the link. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=38358 Hope it helps.

Due to a bad case of Newbee, I put the pic in my Gallery.

Is this when all the smack talking starts?

here's an idea... I dont know if your new shift **** is an OBX or not... if it is, it should have come with the adapter base to fill this gap. If you used another type of aftermarket shift ****... you might consider a good machine shop that could turn down a billet one for you to the specs you need.. that would fill the gap and make it flow better.

drifter (justin) is a good person to talk to. He is a machinist. OBX would have come with spacer that matches. If it doest, for sure i would buy different brand.

It is a Momo shift ****.

I didn't think of a Machinne shop. I'm not really sure what I would have to give them to design such an Iten. But , that would be really cool.

Thanks Drift. I might take you up on that. Let me take it apart and see what I need exactly. I'll get back to you.

Yes I am! I rarely turn down a lunch, free or not. I drive a Manual (of course). Thanks for the offer! Maybe we can still look to see what it would do. That's really cool Mouse, Thanks!
But the good news is that I should have my new headlights and taillights in by then! I don't think I'll have them in... Come to thihnk of it I'm not sure how to get the old ones out. But, I will have them.

Really? A breeze? I was looking at how the bumber needs to come off to replace the headlights. Is that true?
If you have done it before I'm gonna trust you over me.
As a matter of fact just looking at all the work you have done to your xB I should never question you.
