Starting this thread to begin discussions on this show. I know some of us have already discussed it and some of us have already decided to do it. It's not just a hot rod show (they have a "Tuner" class). I went last year but didn't show. Lots of cool stuff going on there - bands, contests, ...

I went last year too. I didn't really like how the spectators treated other peoples rides...

I imagine it's no different than any other show. Besides - I'm bringin' security.

 

Every time I hear someone say security, I think of that Southpark episode where Eric is dressed up like a cop and keeps saying "Respect My Authoritie!" That episode is so funny...
Maybe when we bring security to the show, we should give her a shirt that looks like a cop uniform shirt? LOL

Okay, so I am assuming we need to bring the tent and banners, etc....but do you guys wanna do the BBQ thing for this one also? If so, we need to get a list going of who is bringing what.
It says the show is 10:00-5:00, but I am assuming we need to meet and roll in earlier too...so any thoughts on when and where we should meet up?

im with frosty on the crowd thing, IMO all radio sponsored shows are more like a hateparade than anything. i do hope this one is different, ill be stopping in to say hi on my way home from work

 

Hey guys, I'm not sure if I'm showing or not. I'm kinda playing this saturday by ear right now. I'll let somebody know what's goin' on.

 

I have no preference for the tent but the banner would be cool. Not sure where we would put it up without the tent, though.

BBQ? Meh - too much work and there are tons of places to eat nearby - so I vote no.

Meet place? How about in the theater/Rockbottom parking lot in front of the show? Splitz/D&B is in the back of the complex - we could meet in front. Or the Target parking lot on the oposite side of Hwy 36.

Time? Show starts at 10. There is no mention what time roll-in is so how about we meet at the decided spot at 8:45 and head to the gate at 9? If everyone wants to park together be at the meet spot no later than 9.

Yeah I do that seems to happen at a lot of shows anymore.
