No Karting! CAJUN BOIL INSTEAD!
So, I got this email about this place where we could go karting at:
First Saturday Karting
Saturday, November 1 at 11am.
Come join us and enjoy a day of karting, you will realize these are not a typical go kart! This is the real deal! Other car enthusiasts will be there and mingling. This is a rain, snow or shine event. Cost is $35 per person which includes kart rental.
Here's their website also, for more info on location, etc.:
http://www.thetrack.us/Pages/Welcome.html
Anyone wanna do this?
Maybe we could do it for Scott's birthday, instead of a restaurant thing this year?

Cool!
We'll have to see if anyone else can do it too... I know $35 per person is alot, but it says it includes the rental of the go-kart too...so maybe it's not too bad for the day of entertainment?
Has anyone in our group ever been to this place before? I wonder how long you get to use the kart? It says it starts at 11, but doesn't give an end time. If we get enough people showing interest I'll get ahold of them to find out more I guess.
Of course, we can still do the dinner thing afterwards and stuff too... I'm just not sure he'll want to do MC's is all, so we may have to go somewhere else for dinner.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to find out more for sure. Their site says you have to be 18 or have a parent/guardian there (probably to sign a waiver). It doesn't say anything about driver's licenses though.
I also saw something on the site about $35 for 10 minutes, but I'm not sure that applies to this special thing they're doing on Nov. 1st. (that seems like a bit much if that's how much it really is for this special Saturday thing).
I'll give them a call next week if we all decide it sounds fun, and maybe we can get a cheaper rate than that for this thing they're doing, and if we're bringing a whole car club out there, right?

Ive never been there. Not sure how long you get to ride for 35 minutes either. But Ill be participating in that Scavanger Hunt I emailed you all about the other day. So if you go karting, I hope its worth it and have some fun!

Oh well, I'm bummed since some of you won't be able to make it that day... I'll still find out more about it next week before we all make definite plans to go. But it sounds like fun so far.
Ryan- what did your post mean? "well see what I got" ?
J- I know, I got your email about the scavenger hunt, but Scott didn't really wanna do that for his birthday celebration. Sorry! I hope it goes well for you though!

Okay, well I guess the karting thing is a bust! Sorry guys! It's not gonna work out for us all to go after all, and Scott decided we should just hang nearer to home this weekend anyway. Maybe if anyone wants to head up our way or something we can go to dinner though... let us know if you wanna.
...and whatever ya'll do for Halloween, make it fun!

Sure, if you want...tonight we're doing the halloween candy giveaway thing at Scott's parent's house though, so it'll have to be Saturday night if you can come up. Let us know? I know you have a trip to NJ to think about. When do you leave from DIA?

Jersey is postponed for a couple weeks now as of yesterday.
Since it's Scott's B-day he really should be the one to decide where we are gonna eat. I like the Plant but my vote is insignificant on this day. Anyway, do they only do the seafood boil on Fridays?

CAJUN BOIL!
Cool! Glad to hear you can help us celebrate Scott's birthday then afterall Mike!
If anyone wants to try to do the Cajun Boil thing with us, here's the place we went last year:
http://www.menusfirst.com/greeley/thenewplantation.htm
It looks like you can get Cajun Boil anytime, so a Saturday night should be fine.
I called Scott, and he thought that would okay if you guys wanna do that again this year...So, EVERYONE is welcome, if you wanna drive to Evans to go out to dinner this Saturday night instead of the usual MC's or BW3's.
Just tell us on here if you wanna go, so we can call in our large group reservation if we need to, k?

Yeah, 6:00-ish is cool!
Scott said that he doesn't really want it to be a birthday celebration... So, don't feel obligated or anything, okay everyone! Just come up if you wanna do a Cajun Boil dinner. (other stuff is on the menu too).
Here's the roll call:
1. bsp_tC & WillWork...
2. dslroxx & T
