they don't do that in all out. all out is 100% heads up racing between like 10 cars. it's single round elimination. winner goes home with 10 grand. your car also can't be faster then 10 seconds, and if they think you're sand-bagging you're sent home. it's way better then regular pinks. but there's no loss of your car in this one. it's a far better program.

not a miracle just a couple of fluid flushes and oil change and new front tires.

BTW, here is some other Bandimere news.

The 2007 season continues to be a year of major racing infrastructure projects at Bandimere Speedway, with no slow-down in sight.

Once the final car went down the track for the 2007 season, a major track re-surfacing project began. Beyond the existing concrete surface extending to the 660' mark, the remaining asphalt to the finish line at 1320', plus an additional 60' past the finish line has been removed. Over 4,100 feet of under-track drainage and 30,000 feet of rebar have been laid in preparation for over 900 yards of concrete to finish the surface. Once complete, it will be one of two all-concrete tracks hosting an NHRA POWERade event, the other being the Dallas Motorplex.

V.P. of Facility Operations, Larry Cripse, is heading up the pro! ject, and is looking forward to the benefits of an all-concrete surface. In addition to a longer life-expectancy, and quicker drying times in the event of rain, concrete tracks allow for a wider variety of chemicals to be used in track preparation and oil-down clean-up. Also, utilizing the latest in 3D laser screed technology, the surface can be poured with no heavy trucks on track, while having a higher level of quality control of the final surface.

Additional planned off-season upgrades to the track surface will include cutting out approximately 80 feet of track in each lane at the starting line and pouring fresh concrete pads. Meanwhile, Crispe is evaluating and researching methods of installing an under-ground liquid cooling-system to be placed under the news pads. The hope would be to help control excessive track temperatures during hot summer months, lending itself to a more consistent t! rack surface. Additionally, 25 new MUSCO track lighting ! fixtures will be added to the east side of the track, following the 132 MUSCO track light fixtures installed in 2006.

In early 2007, four other major projects were completed after the record snows melted away and before the smell of race fuels filled the air.

A new fiber-optic timing system was installed; including a new fiber-optic / L.E.D. "Christmas" tree (starting light system). Over 2.5 miles of fiber optic line was installed from each timer on the track to the control tower and to the time slip booths. Also, repaving projects in the spring and summer laid new asphalt in key areas such as the staging lanes, nitro pit area, return road, and corporate hospitality / east pit area. The installation of the new TicketReturn ticketing system, including servers, terminals, and wireless connection points for scanners and ticket printers was co! mpleted. An additional 6000 feet of fiber optic line was installed for the TicketReturn system. Finally, a new 12' x 24' fuel and parts store was provided by Tuff Shed and Sunoco Race Fuels to accommodate the growing inventory of racers at-track parts, fluids, and fuels.

Bandimere Speedway is proudly celebrating 50 years of drag racing during the 2008 season. "Thunder Mountain" is home to the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals, as well as 125 additional events each season.

PINKS ALL OUT COMING TO DENVER
Bandimere Speedway will host an event / episode of the popular SPEED Channel program "PINKS: ALL OUT" during the 2008 season. The event will be held on Saturday, August 9th, with a Test & Tune provided the night prior.

For each shoot, PINKS All Out will invite several hundred grass roots drag racers to qualify for a shot at the final PINKS All Out 16, where competitors race for the lion's share of an $18,000 overall purse ($10,000 to win) and a new NAPA tool chest. Hosted by creator and executive producer Rich Christensen and produced by Pullin Television out of Los Angeles, the television show rigors its on-air technical advisors (brothers Nate and Adam Pritchett) to select a field of 16 cars based upon a subjective elapsed-time gr! ouping determined through two time-trial sessions. Prior to each Saturday shoot, racers will have the opportunity to pre-register their race cars and take part in a Friday test n' tune. A production crew of nearly 100 people work to build a SPEED Channel show in one evening.

The PINKS All Out at-track experience offers a variety of exhibitions and competitions, including the Purifoy Chevrolet Fast 16 and Five-R Quick 16 programs, providing on-track activities throughout the Saturday shoot. In addition, a midway area provides local vendors, manufacturers, supporters and local groups to elevate its involvement and showcase their wares or talents, offering a variety of entertainment on and off the track.

"We started out producing a television program and in very short order we've found ourselves in the event business, attracting upwards of 400 cars and drawing crowds sometimes in excess of 25,000 spectators, many of! whom have never before attended a drag racing event," s! aid Robe rt Ecker, SPEED VP of Programming and one of the show's Executive Producers. "As such, we are working very closely with each of these tracks to forge a partnership that will provide the best possible entertainment experience for fans, for competitors, for sponsors and for the viewers at home. It's been a blast so far and we're only getting started."

"I can't wait to get to Bandimere," said Nate Pritchett, technical advisor of PINKS All Out. "It's one of those tracks you always hear about, about the great racing, how beautiful the area is and how well the track is run. We should have a great time in Denver, and I am really looking forward to getting out there."

Bandimere Speedway's Media Relations Director, Jeff Sipes shares, "As Bandimere Speedway celebrates our 50th Anniversary season on 'Thunder Mountain', PINKS All Out is a fantastic addition to our action-packed 2008 schedule. We are sure that motorsports fans from all across the region will converge on this historic quarter-mile track in August to be a part of the PINKS television phenomenon - trying to race their way to the $10,000 reward, or to witness the speed, passion and excitement of drag racing in Colorado, PINKS-style."

C-470 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: NEW INTERCHANGE NEAR BANDIMERE SPEEDWAY

The new C-470 interchange at Alameda will allow another access point for Bandimere Speedway racers and fans
On Monday, November 12th, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) along with Sema Construction, Inc. started to mobilize equipment for construction of a new full diamond interchange at C-470 and Alameda Parkway. This $14.2 million new interchange construction project is being funded by a partnership between the Green Tree Metro District No. 1, City of Lakewood and Jefferson County. "Due to the project's proximity to C-470, we have been working closely with the project sponsors, planning and designing the new interchange." said CDOT's Regional Traffic and Safety Engineer Tony DeVito. "Now that construction is starting, CDOT's involvement is to maintain o! versight of the highway lane closures and project progress."

"This interchange will be a great asset to the Rooney Valley and Bandimere Speedway." Shares Bandimere Speedway General Manager, John Bandimere, III. "We are excited to offer to racers and fans an additional access point to the facility at the new interchange and down Rooney Road, especially at major events like the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals."

Construction includes widening lanes on Alameda Parkway approaching the interchange, widening the bridge over C-470 by four lanes to accommodate the turn lanes, buil! ding of new concrete on and off ramps, retaining walls, new st! orm drai nage, curb and gutter, sidewalks and traffic signals. The new interchange was also designed with special aesthetics, such as unique ornamental railings, pillars and colors. Construction of this new interchange is scheduled to be complete and open to traffic June 30, 2008.
