They're going to tow it tomorrow and I have to work. I would have loved to give the skunk 2 exhaust along with everything else to someone rather that just give it away, but I haven't had a working phone for the last few days to contact anyone. What great timing...
I looked at an a4 today with my brother. It was a great car and a lot of fun to drive, but I'm going to try and save my pennies and drive my dad's wrx for a few months.
Thanks again everyone for your kind words!

yeah all airbags are expensive to replace once they deploy. assuming the vehicle is repairable. They were an option back when I bought my 06 tC.... but came standard on my 08 tC. It's just nice knowing they are there just in case something nasty like that happens. Only thing that sucks is ya gotta go with a center mount gauge pod instead of being able to use the A-pillar strip.
and Number2.... can I get an Amen to the safe car comment. The tC is rated very highly in its class for surviving a crash of basically any kind with very low chance of serious injury.

oh and the painted metal "strips" that outline our pan sunroofs is actually a built in roll cage of sorts. I read an article not to long ago with the pics to prove it.... of a tC owner that got cut off on the highway at 75mph and rolled like 8 times. The glass was all broken out...but the roof of the car did not crush in one bit. and he walked away with minor cuts and scrapes. Im glad I own one of those.

So i'm going to try and have the tow company come on monday. If this is the case, I can switch out my skunk2 exhaust for the stock one. I just need the axle back portion. Is anyone local interested?
I can help install it for you too.

Hey Paul, I'm PM-ing you now...We have more to talk about if you're parting it out too.
Not for the exhaust, but we can help to switch that out too (if you find a local person to take it).

It's S-pipe back. Yes you could call it a cat-back exhaust, because the cat is built in to the factory header. Basically it's the full length of the car. It sounds very nice with the stock header. Not sure if it would sound raspy with an aftermarket header b/c then you have absolutely no catalytic converters.

So the tow company came and picked up my car today...Got a call from my dad saying "uhh, the car's gone."
So I called the tow company and told them that the arrangement was for Monday. The lady confirmed and apologized, not knowing why it was towed today either.
They are returning it, but sheesh, what a great company!
